Really enjoying these! Re Death in a White Tie: Bunchy is not killed by suffocation with his cloak, he is killed by being struck on the head by a cigarette case. Hence all the discussion about cigarette cases later, and who might know the most effective way to use it.

Thanks! I was wondering when someone would point this out. I remember thinking after I published this video that maybe he was hit with the cigarette case and then double checking and yep that's what happened. But he was also suffocated with the cloak either initially or after he was hit. It's been a while since I read this one.

People in New Zealand are really chill when it comes to sex. Way more so than most countries

Death in A White Tie is possibly my favourite but Artists in Crime is excellent too, I agree. Some brilliant imagery in that book.
Generally, I agree with your listing though I must be a member of that group of fans who dislikes Surfeit of Lampreys - for me it's that I just cannot stand the family. Somehow they just rub me up the wrong way. Ah well. I think it's a good book but the family characters really put me off.

Yeah Surfeit of Lampreys is very divisive for some reason. I think it is the family which some people find unlikeable. And they are unlikeable! That's the point but I certainly understand how that effects the reading experience.
