No blouses come in all shapes, remember there is a significant Muslim population as well and some wear full shirts underneath( although rare) as you can wrap the saree with pallu to completely you and be as modest as you want. You can have the blouse custom made to show as little or as much skin you want . From completely covering stomach and arms to a brazzier style. Blouses are custom made to fit you and your style. Loose, / tight/ arm length / waist length. You could of course wear a crop top but it will not be the same material . The blouse should not cost more than £30/40 pounds to stitch or next to nothing if you send the material to be made in the sub continent

How many meters does your saree will be
Here in India we get mostly 5.8 or 6 meters ( hardly) of saree
Iam like 5.9" height if i take my pallu to knee length definitely there will be 5 or 6 pleats
These days what I am doing is
Taking matching plain cloth nearly 1m stitching it to the starting of the saree so that it will be inner side and i get enough length for my personality to drap it comfortably
Genuine kancheevaram sarees have extra height and length
Use long sarees
I do the same though I'm not as tall you are but I like long pallu and a few more pleats then just 4, which we get in normal sarees
I'm 5'8". I usually buy saree with running blouse that way I don't have to stitch extra fabric. As for blouse I get a readymade fancy blouse.

I wear my pallu over the left shoulder.
To measure your anchal/ pallu just wrap around from left upto your belly button. This length is perfect not to trail on floor when you keep it open just with the help of a pin on the shoulder. In Bangladesh we usually wear open anchal saree so that nobody can see our open belly from the left side.

The whole point of the undergarment is they are loos so you can go for a poo in them if needed. How are you going to lift such a tight undergarment when going to the loo without fully dressing sarees are suposed to be fully functional garments, a saree becoming undone is no big deal , my relatives use to just pleat and tie it again . It’s part of the deal of wearing a saree, you shouldn’t fear undraping just know what to do when it’s getting loose. It’s just like adjusting your belt, only takes a few minutes
