      The idea sounds sweet but please do practice wearing a saree and just moving around, going about doing regular things for a few hours because sarees can be a handful initially.

    Quick tip: Wear your dress shoes before draping the saree to get the right level above the ground, otherwise the saree might hover too high or low from the ground and you might need to drape again

      @@rocksneha059 it's called set and mundu. It's a two piece dress. You search in you tube how to wear set mundu. You will get totorial. It's our traditional dress ( keralites)

    Thank you for this video. I recently attended a friend's wedding at a Gurdwara and I wanted to make sure I wore the saree correctly. I managed to drape the saree by myself and my friend's family commented that I had draped it well. Excellent tutorial!

      Better to wear a punjabi suit at gurudwara .. will be comfortable to sit at floor and also its preferred at punjabi wedding

      You can even iron it. There is a lot of tutorial on how to iron a prep your saree. So it looks amazing and it's also easier to drape.

    This is the clearest saree tutorial I've seen in my few days of searching, and I greatly appreciate the amount of detail you went into. I'm using it to dress a handmade doll to be gifted to a young Indian girl I'm friends with. She was adopted when she was 5, and she's always felt a little disconnected, so I'm trying to make it as authentic and meaningful as possible. Thanks to this tutorial, I'm confident that it will at least be dressed properly!

      Nice! For casual clothes for the Indian MC, I suggest putting her in a kurta/kurti. Very common traditional dress in India that is worn casually among women and girls.

    So so useful! Thank you. My saree is kind of see-through so the big safety pin that you put in this one to keep the pleats in place would be visible. Any suggestions on what to do to place the safety pin in a hidden spot?

      Pin closer to the top, and tuck it in.

      You can use 2 pins. The first one put it as she does and the second one from behind the under skirt so only a little bit of the pin will be seen.

      buy a sari pin , plus it wont damage the fabric and its okay if its visible

    I usually don't comment on videos.. but I was today years old to know I could use my thumb and PINKY FINGER to form the fleets coz I only knew the thumb and the index and middle finger thing.. but I was never able to hold the fleets tightly using the classic technique and I just saw this now.. I think imma go wear a saree ryt now.. ❤️😁

Lots of love from india and can u tell me dear how to get ur saree I saw the link but it is showing purchasing in dollars. Do you have other way of purchasing ? I m from india and I would love to buy plain sarees.
