The end of Tiswas and a brief glimpse of programmes under the Watch It! strand for the following Monday. I'm guessing it was shown after Tiswas, as that was also deemed part of the Watch It! strand, as well. From Memory, I do remember the children's weekday programmes on ITV would start relatively late, with there only being 4 shows, and finish by about 5.15, with some American import on until the news at 5.45. The BBC, by comparison would start at 3.55, (in the colder months of the year), and finish at 5.40. Being a Saturday, they would show quite a lot of toy adverts, despite it not quite being the run-up to Christmas just yet! The end of October was generally school half-term, so this would have been the week before. Halloween and Bonfire Night would have been what us kids were more focused on, then. Once they were out of the way, then it'd be another month before we started thinking about Christmas. The nature of the News Flash was something indicative of the time. I assume this clip was around about 12.30-ish, before World of Sport?
Watch it was the first attempt at national branding for ITV's children's programming, but regions were still given considerable autonomy on programming. Also less than an hour of children's programming was still common on ITV then, which compared badly with the 1hour 40 minutes on BBC1.
Blimey games were expensive then. £29.99 in 1981 is like spending over £112 today

Yes it was. I think LWT did not screen the look of Monday's programmes as there may well be regional variations provided by Thames on Monday.
