A frost was a taste of things to come as the winter of 1981-82 was quite bad. I can remember in the December there being two weeks of snow and ice locally and the January being very cold. Playing rugby every Thursday at school in freezing weather is one memory I have of that winter.
What a great year. I was a year into my first job and loving every minute.
