Maybe to busy this time of year, if they can’t do it with their laptop, how am I going to be able repair it at a reasonable cost. These CEO’S only get their bonuses if the business is more profitable. In my opinion they raise the price of their products to accomplish this. Deere is global. My little 950 utility was made by Yanmar in Japan back in the 70’s. It’s one of those rice burners… Some of those plants are closer to the market they target.

I'm just short of two years retiring from 35 years of welding and a good friend of mine farms for a living has nothing but JD equipment and I just bought a 1985 model 7720 with only 678 original hrs,it came with a six row corn head and a 18' grain head with a 450 bu grain cart to give me something to do after I retire. JD wasn't woke when my equipment was made lol, great video and have a great day!

Another thought, what would be the outcome if large amounts of JD farm tractors and equipment went on the used market all at once as trade ins for other brands? You can modify them to go faster, they are easy to maintain, and you only need to recharge them in your garage once, a week with just a standard electrical outlet. I do not live far from where I work so they are perfect for me. I am never going to buy an electric car, or truck. Worker pay is a very small amount of the cost of making the machine. Energy cost and raw material costs play a bigger factor. ..see inflation... Now jd is whining that they may only..make 6-7 billion in profits this year...uncle john is not hurting for cash whatsoever. Jd workers 30 yrs ago, when adjusted for inflation, made as much if not more than we do now, and ones hired before 1997, get higher pensions than us along with free health insurance for them and their spouse for life, which we don't. I have a son and Cousin who work for Deere. Deere and Company is made up of around 20 different companies. Deere is adjusting production to match demand. Some of the companies are doing better than others. There's quite a criteria being used on who goes and who stays. Deere is going to stay solvent by cutting fat to match the market.
Problem I have with custom spraying is when they run out of chemical at the back corner of the field they don't fix the problem I HAVE for years to come after of big ass weed pressure I FIGHT running it threw the combine and spreading weed seed all over to fight for years. I had horse weeds tall as combine and no crop around and in the patch. Just really pissed me off. And another note running over crop because forgot to put the spread wheels to correct row spacing and run over my corn, I get to see it in the combine seat.

It is my first one but I bought it because it was basically the same tractor but $10,000 cheaper. I have had it for 5 years. The Turkish new Holland burnt up parked in the barn
Well Andy i have driven truck for many years and here a few years ago i went to north Carolina or south Carolina can't recall for sure but anyways i went out there to pick up a semi load of john deere riding mowers and there were acers and acers of john deere riders stacked up in crates had to wait for about 3 hours just to get a number to go to a door to get loaded and when i was getting loaded one of the guy's that worked there was talking to me and i told him you guy's must make millions of parts here thos place is big. He told me that all the john deere rider parts were shipped to them from china and all they do is assemble them there and i hauled them all over the united states to places like Lowe's and tractor supply and home depot anyways to lots of big stores that sell john deere so this made in China is nothing new.

On this woke Deere stuff, you've made a pretty good point: just because a brand has gone woke doesn't mean we'll spontaneously trade all the green stuff in on the spot! My family's 1997 7810 has nothing to do with the manufacturer going "woke." Therefore, why should I get rid of a tractor that's otherwise been solid, reliable, and very rarely breaks down? Will this brand change affect future purchases? Yes, of course, it will. If I have to buy Deere, I'll just buy a decent 2nd hand tractor that doesn't have the 2020 fry-pan badge on it. As for the car stuff One only needs to look at Australia to know what the future of the USA without cars being manufactured would look like. In regards to John Deere. I am more concerned about their largest investor being gates and them sponsoring 3yr old drag shows, than some manufacturing moving to Mexico. The main one was actually their skid steers, which they don't make themselves anyways, it's contracted out. With that said, I won't buy one made there. We have a bucket made there, John Deere bucket, it was poorly constructed and sits loose on the quick attack on the skid steer. The previous machine we had, that one was better. The large frame 6R and 6xxx R series, have an awesome transmission (IVT). Those are German, and last quite a while. The 7xxxRseries, had loads of problems and that was a John Deere IVT transmission. Just an example of foreign made stuff like a transmission being better. Personally if I bought a new tractor, id probably go with a JCB, many reasons. But again, JCB never started domestic. Again, JD sponsoring that other weird stuff, that is a bigger concern. Blackrock is another big investor of them. Edit: Id only buy JCB because I like their features, speed, ride quality and they are built quite well. NOTHING to do with woke..
It all looks good when it’s smaller, but as you noticed in one of my recent videos, I showed you those two rows where I had that hose leaking as the corn gets bigger you can tell it’s lacking for nitrogen. Those two rows was because it wasn’t getting it all on because of the hose leaking, but you couldn’t see it when it was knee high
He put some on upfront and with a lot of rain probably lost it to leaching. The taller it gets you'll see the lack of N. The problem is the higher it gets there are fewer options for side dressing yourself. Then you end up hiring a high clearance sprayer with drops. There are certain jobs that have to be done on time if possible like side dressing it wont get done running around helping everybody else.

The retail store i work for went woke about 3 years ago. Punch in then watch woke videos and answer questions about the videos. I went 3 years failing the questions. One day i punched in and the boss told me we have to pass this quiz. So the boss pretty much took the quiz for me. I never had these questions when i farmed with my Grandpa.

Andy don't let them get you down. I've been around long enough to know that you put a lot thought into your decision making as to what equipment to buy for your particular farming needs. That's why your still farming. I have a good farmer in MO doing sharecropper farming on my farm that's why I don't cash rent. I made more money over the last 20 years doing it that way and it also keeps him from having to borrow so much money to put in a crop.It's good for him but better for me . I Would be proud as a peacock if I didn't have a good farmer and you lived next to me for you to farm my property because it's hard to find someone that's honest and takes pride in they're work nowadays.

What scares me: JOHN DEERE 7800 at auction dealer rebuilt transmission won’t stay calibrated, also John Deere skid steer dealer wanted I think $36,900.00 can’t get it to have the right fuel pressure. Maybe to busy this time of year, if they can’t do it with their laptop, how am I going to be able repair it at a reasonable cost.
These CEO’S only get their bonuses if the business is more profitable. In my opinion they raise the price of their products to accomplish this. This will only make for fewer customers that will be able to afford their product in the future.

Deere is global. My little 950 utility was made by Yanmar in Japan back in the 70’s. It’s one of those rice burners… Some of those plants are closer to the market they target.

I'm just short of two years retiring from 35 years of welding and a good friend of mine farms for a living has nothing but JD equipment and I just bought a 1985 model 7720 with only 678 original hrs,it came with a six row corn head and a 18' grain head with a 450 bu grain cart to give me something to do after I retire. JD wasn't woke when my equipment was made lol, great video and have a great day!

Another thought, what would be the outcome if large amounts of JD farm tractors and equipment went on the used market all at once as trade ins for other brands? Drive down the used JD prices while driving up the prices of the other brands. Not sure how this helps anyone.

The solar panel farms are the most least efficient way to make electricity. What are we going to do in 20 years when those panels go bad? But we saved the earth. I agree his spraying was pretty sketchy but he’s still learning and he’s in a better place.

Hey grumpy. I own an electric bike, and an electric moped. You can modify them to go faster, they are easy to maintain, and you only need to recharge them in your garage once, a week with just a standard electrical outlet. I do not live far from where I work so they are perfect for me. I am never going to buy an electric car, or truck. They are way too expensive have too many software problems. and lackluster infrastructure. For me it's not about going green. It's about utility. Speaking of. Why can't Ford make the old Ford Ranger. I do not need a giant truck. I just need a small truck to haul brush, and wood. I'm with you. These companies are out of touch with their customers, and our government is out of touch with the voters.

As someone who works for jd,as a production worker, and NOT a democrat whatsoever, when people blame the union and pay for workers, please keep in mind that in 2023, jd made a record 10 billion in profits alone, and thats 2 yrs after our contract was agreed upon. Worker pay is a very small amount of the cost of making the machine. Energy cost and raw material costs play a bigger factor. ..see inflation... Now jd is whining that they may only..make 6-7 billion in profits this year...uncle john is not hurting for cash whatsoever. Jd workers 30 yrs ago, when adjusted for inflation, made as much if not more than we do now, and ones hired before 1997, get higher pensions than us along with free health insurance for them and their spouse for life, which we don't. Yet jd was a profitable company back then. Stockholder greed is the reason for moves to Mexico.

I have a son and Cousin who work for Deere. Deere and Company is made up of around 20 different companies. Deere is adjusting production to match demand. Some of the companies are doing better than others. There's quite a criteria being used on who goes and who stays. Deere is going to stay solvent by cutting fat to match the market.

Problem I have with custom spraying is when they run out of chemical at the back corner of the field they don't fix the problem I HAVE for years to come after of big ass weed pressure I FIGHT running it threw the combine and spreading weed seed all over to fight for years. I had horse weeds tall as combine and no crop around and in the patch. Just really pissed me off. And another note running over crop because forgot to put the spread wheels to correct row spacing and run over my corn, I get to see it in the combine seat.

First, thanks for buying John Deere. I work at Deere in Horicon Wisconsin, 28+ years in the skilled trades, machinist/toolmaker. We make, stamp and assemble, the ride on premium mowers (lawn tractors), snow blowers, plows, and the JD gators. We also stamp some parts for the ag tractors, combines, forestry equipment, and seeders\planters. Us employees have been pushing back about the wokeness.... We dont like it either and just ignore the shit.... do our job with AMERICAN Pride! Also, Case IH formerly made in Racine wisconsin, is moving to mexico... thanks to Joe Biden's economy... FJB!!! You are correct with lots of things produced abroad.... what are you going to do? Sucks.... Trump has the answers.....

Hey grumpy. I agree with on duffy but i still do watch his videos. Most of time shaking my head with the stuff he does. As bad as it was last year to get his corn out getting stuck all the time and rutting up fields like crazy and he still keeps moldboard plowing in spring. Id say for the ground he has he might want to start no-tilling but thats just my thought. One thing ill say for him is hes not lazy. Looks like he works hard but not good with time management. All tractors are produced. I had a new Holland from turkey. Case loader buckets say made in Italy. My massey was made in Georgia. It is my first one but I bought it because it was basically the same tractor but $10,000 cheaper. I have had it for 5 years. The Turkish new Holland burnt up parked in the barn

Well Andy i have driven truck for many years and here a few years ago i went to north Carolina or south Carolina can't recall for sure but anyways i went out there to pick up a semi load of john deere riding mowers and there were acers and acers of john deere riders stacked up in crates had to wait for about 3 hours just to get a number to go to a door to get loaded and when i was getting loaded one of the guy's that worked there was talking to me and i told him you guy's must make millions of parts here thos place is big. He told me that all the john deere rider parts were shipped to them from china and all they do is assemble them there and i hauled them all over the united states to places like Lowe's and tractor supply and home depot anyways to lots of big stores that sell john deere so this made in China is nothing new.

On this woke Deere stuff, you've made a pretty good point: just because a brand has gone woke doesn't mean we'll spontaneously trade all the green stuff in on the spot! My family's 1997 7810 has nothing to do with the manufacturer going "woke." Therefore, why should I get rid of a tractor that's otherwise been solid, reliable, and very rarely breaks down? Will this brand change affect future purchases? Yes, of course, it will. If I have to buy Deere, I'll just buy a decent 2nd hand tractor that doesn't have the 2020 fry-pan badge on it.
As for the car stuff
One only needs to look at Australia to know what the future of the USA without cars being manufactured would look like. Stupid gov making stupid decisions flushed our car industry down the toilet, and now we're stuck with cheap pos cars imported from Korea and China!

In regards to John Deere. I am more concerned about their largest investor being gates and them sponsoring 3yr old drag shows, than some manufacturing moving to Mexico. The main one was actually their skid steers, which they don't make themselves anyways, it's contracted out. With that said, I won't buy one made there. We have a bucket made there, John Deere bucket, it was poorly constructed and sits loose on the quick attack on the skid steer. The previous machine we had, that one was better.
The large frame 6R and 6xxx R series, have an awesome transmission (IVT). Those are German, and last quite a while. The 7xxxRseries, had loads of problems and that was a John Deere IVT transmission. Just an example of foreign made stuff like a transmission being better. Personally if I bought a new tractor, id probably go with a JCB, many reasons. But again, JCB never started domestic. Again, JD sponsoring that other weird stuff, that is a bigger concern. Blackrock is another big investor of them.
Edit: Id only buy JCB because I like their features, speed, ride quality and they are built quite well. NOTHING to do with woke..

It all looks good when it’s smaller, but as you noticed in one of my recent videos, I showed you those two rows where I had that hose leaking as the corn gets bigger you can tell it’s lacking for nitrogen. Those two rows was because it wasn’t getting it all on because of the hose leaking, but you couldn’t see it when it was knee high
He put some on upfront and with a lot of rain probably lost it to leaching. The taller it gets you'll see the lack of N. The problem is the higher it gets there are fewer options for side dressing yourself. Then you end up hiring a high clearance sprayer with drops. There are certain jobs that have to be done on time if possible like side dressing it wont get done running around helping everybody else.
