Great comparison. I have the Saragosa 6000 for my primary surf/inlet reel, paired with a 10’ MH Tsunami Trophy II. I’ve been very pleased with it and have been able to dunk it to rinse off sand (no reeling underwater of course) with no issues with saltwater intrusion. I’m in the market for a comparable reel for a lighter surf set up. Thinking of going for either the Stradic FM or the Ultegra FC. I know that neither of these are as well sealed as the Gosa, but I wouldn’t be dunking these. Would you say the Stradic is the way to go, or would the Ultegra FC work nearly as well?
The tsunami trophy II rods are great but if it's in your budget get the air wave elite its a much nicer rod. Interms of getting a lighter set up if it's 5000 size you aiming for get the shimano spheros but if its 4000 and under I'd advise the stradic.
@@tackleaddictgy Thanks for the reply man. For the light surf/back bay application I’m actually using the Airwave Elite 8’8, which I love. Want a reel around 9-10oz for it to stay as light as I can. For a budget option, what do you think of the 2019 Spheros 4000? I understand that it is just basically a Stradic FK with fewer bearings? How much of a downgrade would the Spheros 4000 be from a Stradic FL or FM 4000?
@@Oneleven1 I now saw BUDGET 😂😂😂. BUT INTERMS OF BUDGET YOU HAVE THE NASCI AND MIRAVEL WHICH IS AROUND $100. Ultegra is a good buy too.sorry about missing the budget part.
Saragosa is 40% more expensive in my part of the world, comparable to Slammer IV. Even Spheros is 20% more expensive, so Spinfisher is by far the best value here.
I'm guessing shimano in general is more expensive at your end? I suggest you buy from online stores that will ship to you such as "digitaka" or any stores in the USA.
@@tackleaddictgy yea in general more expensive, I'm in New Zealand. Penn and Shimano offer 10 year warranty so not really worth ordering from overseas.
That's awesome that they offer that much. I don't use their services for repairs or servicing reels. I tend to do that my self. Other than that I rarely have problems with shimano gears.
A few viewers suggested that. But for some reason I can't find a slammer under $300. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough but a slammer 5500 is like over $300 with tax.
Thanks for the comparison...greetings from Italy
Thanks for the support my friend.
@@tackleaddictgy i'm uncertain about the choice...but you're video will help me

What difference between 6 and 7 ss?
In the 6 from sizes under 6500 didnt have the brass main gear

Awesome review. Not enough channels making these videos. However wouldn’t the saragosa and slammer be more comparable in performance and price?

Is the Penn rotor made in Aluminium or Plastic?
Graphite
Penn spinfisher 7 is a money grab and I love my 5 and 6 generation don't know why they just can't make just a few great generations
