The Latvian Legion was active during World War II. Made of mostly Latvians, they fought bravely against the expansion of communism.

It was about soviets, not Latvia. My Grandma told me about this. In 1944, when urlistan army approuch, German officer go thrue the Jurmala village and ask locals to go to bakery and take a bread or russians will destroy all.
Wouldn't Generalplan Ost have been top secret, and certainly not something that Latvians at the time would have known about?
They were forced to join the German side by the Nazis. Only 15% were volunteers.
Go learn a bit of history and then come back to argue.
