Wedding tip: write down all little things you want to do on the wedding day. Like introduce your childhood friend to your college friend. Give the list to your maid of honor to help you accomplish them. Your wedding day is so exciting you are guaranteed to forget some of those things. Btw we celebrate our 20th anniversary in November. This is such a great idea! Simple but so importantly because I imagine the day just gets away from you. I feel like this is a good idea for the planning process as well, right down 2-3 things that are incredibly important that way all of the opinions don’t end up changing the important items the couple wants.
The wedding diet pressure was ridiculous! I got soo stressed about looking my best my ulcerative colitis flared up and was put on steroids for my wedding day so all went out the window! I still had a brilliant day but i was physically shaking every time I tried on my dress! So happy you addressed this!
I gave my photographer a list of photos that were really important to me. Pics with each table, family photos, special friend photos etc. Was so happy to have done this so that I didn't have to think about it. My photographer made sure they all happened Hope your day is all you've dreamed of and more!!! 🩷

Acotar really is our adult twilight - it’s just the absolute best series to exist. So excited that you’re reading it! I would suggest either fourth wing or powerless next (both absolutely amazing series as well) then TOG. Mainly because TOG is so long, and it’s a different vibe (heavier on the fantasy). The post wedding let down is real too. You’re relieved at first but then it’s kind of a challenge. You work for months or years and then it’s shockingly slow! Plan a trip for November!
After ACOTAR you should read Throne of Glass, Cresent City (same author as ACOTAR) and then Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. I would read them is this order Fourth Wing, TOG and then CC. I love all four series and have read them several times 😜

And my parents getting married as hippies in the back yard in the seventies. I would want it to be about love and not too stressful. I would elope even if mom didn’t like it 😂
I strongly believe that it is never appropriate for someone to comment on another's size, body type, or suggest dieting like the ways you mentioned. Just don't do it! My body is on the thinner side for many reasons and when I was pregnant everywhere I went people commented on how small I was. It really got under my skin even though you would think they're being complimentary. What they didn't know was that I was so sick to my stomach that I had a hard time eating anything and was really struggling. I really love that you addressed this issue.
A week before my wedding, my MOH decided to lie about being ill and couldn’t make the hen do, which was completely fine to us at the time as we didn’t know it was a lie… until we found out she’d gone out in London instead and was seen dancing on tables on social media. Needless to say, a week before the big day we had to remove all trace of her from the wedding and revoke her invite. Haven’t spoken to her since and have been much happier without her 😊
Regarding the diet culture around weddings: I have been to several weddings where the bride fainted at some point due to being absolutely on her last leg physically, just to look at slim as possible for the big day. I also didn't let myself be pressured into it - enjoy your wedding, if you faint you will for sure not have as much fun!! 🫠

I read the first one when it came out in 2015 and read them as they were published (imagine waiting an entire YEAR between books) and did the same with ToG when it came out in 2012. They are definitely my holy grail books that I keep returning to. I would recommend reading ToG next though, since (in my opinion) it is even better than ACOTAR. The Powerless series didn't tickle my tastebuds as much, and whilst Fourth Wing is good, Iron Flame was severely disappointing (think predictable, cliche, and poor writing). Whilst they're all worth a look, please please PLEASE read ToG next and update us on what you think!!!!
The best advice I can give you is something will happen the day of your wedding. If and when the best thing to do is to focus on the wonderful reason your there and just HAVE FUN! For example my nails did not ask the entire wedding day. They chipped the day before and then proceeded to break over the day. And Our cake lady’s appendix burst the week of her wedding. You are correct it was a wild ride. Congratulations to you both.
Move onto throne of glass next and for the reading order start with assassins blade and deffo do the tandem read! I just finished the series and I’m not over it. If you struggle in the start like most do you can always dip out and read another book alongside it 😊x
