    Good stuff Bob. So refreshing to watch a pro "wash" from the bottom to the top and "rinse" from the top to the bottom. So much confusion and debate on this, when it's so simple.

    Awesome vid man!! Definitely like this kind.. Testing your own products in real world situations 👍🏼
    Your Electricians truck is in desperate need of a paint correction..the swirl marks and buffer trails are insane..
    No bad vibes✌🏼... as a detailer I was like 😳 ooooof..That truck would make for some amazing before and after shots tho😎

      Thanks man yeah big time that paint was rough, he hits one of the local brush tunnel washes I was surprised how much that messed up the paint, good paint is much easier to wash without contact too, glad I was able to see where the separate steps kick in and see the difference of the two wash styles

    awesome channel, and products. hey will Stars strip wax, sealants, or coatings that are already on the paintwork, or do you have a specialized cleaner doap for coated protected vehicles. if I have snake oil on the truck then use Stars n stripes will it remove the snake oil?

    Be interesting to see what happens if you vary the ratio of the two parts. If stripes is intended to neutralize the acidic stars, that may affect its cleaning power. 2:1 or 3:1 of stars to stripes might pack a little more punch while still foaming and lifting well.

    • @ChemX
      @ChemX  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I think they pretty much kill each other when mixing them together first even if the ratios were a little more one vs the other. My thought was to see if the wider range of surfactants of these soaps might make it get better results than one soap alone, but I think the value of the pH shock on the vehicle surface when they mix at that point is where a lot of the magic happens as far as road film removal

      It has an edge that’s for sure, I’m always trying to figure out how to streamline it would be epic to get it done in one pass

      @@ChemX -. It is unusual to hold the lance so close to the surface. I admire your innovation, an eye for quality and efficiency (!). I am currently using the chemistry of Nerta WE64 or diamond foam to my satisfaction (safe for paint, rubber, etc.).
      I do not keep the lance closer than 1.5 meters.

      @ChemX  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheCeki1982 thanks man I appreciate that! I've learned a lot from Nerta actually, they always rinse within .3 meters, it's extremely important to stay close on the rinse with a touchless wash, here's a video of them using we64 and rinsing close from bottom to top: th-cam.com/video/Coy_1MrfauU/w-d-xo.html

      @@ChemX -. Nerta is the god father of contactless washing.
      Originated in Belgium (I am Belgian btw).
      Unlike the herd that claims the car to be rinsed from top to bottom, there is a valid reason why they rinse from bottom to top. If you start at the bottom, the bottom ones get more time to soak in the washing process.
      You also use a proper flat stream, which is the way it must be done.
      As a final step, rinse again from top to bottom.
      And it remains a pleasant surprise that you know Nerta.
      I've watched all their uploads ;).
      It would be great to test Chem-X, the shipping cost is too high. Too bad.
      Grtz.

    Either way it still needs to be hand scrubbed for best results ...brush the soap after applying ..it will be sick !!!

    • @ChemX
      @ChemX  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's totally an option, although if your going to brush something there might not be much need for two steps I think it might be similar results with using just one soap

      if there is pitting and or any rust or highly baked-in grime you may need to refinish and paint them. if you don't mind them not being perfect, you can lightly go over them by hand with a degreaser and "0000" metal wool as it's super fine, just don't apply a ton of pressure, then polish them with aluminum polish. As a detailer, I use this method for extremely neglected wheels. aluminum and chrome. always be sure to gradually increase the aggression of chemicals, brushes, or pads and not go to directly to the most abrasive option first. to prevent making things worse.
