Thanks for posting these Teams Rooms setup guides. They help a lot, especially with the newer devices. Does the HDMI ingest work with dual displays and the roommate when not in a Teams meeting?
@@UCStatus Thanks for the replay. I can't seem to get it working when not in a Teams meeting. Content only shows on one display. Not like the Windows Logi Teams Room set up we have.
Thank you for this video, but I am currently having issues with the connections of my Logitech Tap and Logitech Roommate, the Roommate is not detecting the Tap, I use another new tap, it is still having thesame issues (NOT TAP IP) but ordinary USB Logitech Tap
The original Tap USB needed mains power. The newer Tap has a Cat5 converter in it. You connect cat5 from the Tap to the white PoE injector, then another cat5 cable to a white rj45 to usb converter. Then connect the usb to the Roommate. If the Tap isn't powering on it could be you have the cat cables mixed up. Swap them over.
@@UCStatus thank you so much for responding to my message, Actually the Logitech USB TAP has its own power adapter, which I actually connect to the Tap and also connect the USB-C to USB-A on the Roommate, but it is not working, I did the same connection to AIS Intel NUC and the Logitech Tap actually worked fine, but it is not working with Roommate

Not the Tap IP, no. In that situation you connect to the hdmi ingest on the Bar. You can connect the Tap Cat5 to the Rally Bars though and use that hdmi ingest. It's not supported right now but works in most cases. However it doesn't support audio over the hdmi just yet. Logi is working on this and making it a supported solution
Hi there.. Your videos are wonderful. the (Logic Rally bar or Logic Rally Plus) with TAP IP ,etc.. can I use the one console for both Team Meetings & Zoom, (not as Guest) . Example . one console if I need to switch and login with zoom whether I can host the zoom session ?
You can switch provider but the Credentials aren't saved. Going from Zoom to Teams is just a provider change. Going from Teams to Zoom requires a factory reset
Just one Teams Room Pro license can cover the room. The Tap IP is simply the controller for the Roommate. You could also add a Tap Scheduler Teams Panel outside the room on the same license. Out of curiosity. What camera and audio are you going to deploy?
We're looking to go with the Tap IP + Rally bar Mini + rally mic pod for our 6 people meeting rooms, your videos have been super useful thusfar :-) do you only do Microsoft teams setups? I've had no luck finding a video on Zoom rooms setup with this gear. Would love to chat if possible?
Hi , May i ask, if i need to use Logitech Meetup with Tap IP & Tap scheduler in 4 people meeting room, That will i need to use Logitech Roommate in this case? thank a lot 4 ur video. P.S. we will useing Teams Room tks.
Recording in camtasia only records one channel. I didn't know that for a long time. Until someone who used headphones told me. So now I mix to mono in post. But older videos still have the problem
Love your videos very good info for the av/VC industry
Thank you

Yes it does. Same with the Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini

@@atieemiola7755 I've never tried the usb Tap with any of the CollabOS devices. You can buy the cat5 converter as a spare part
@@UCStatus thank you for your response.
I will get Tap IP and try it, to see if I would get the same error

Hi. I have a question about license....whats license I need?
It depends on what you are using it for. Teams rooms needs a Teams rooms license. Zoom needs a zoom room license. So forth and so on
@@UCStatus We would use it with Teams. We have 2 equipments.....Logitech TAP IP and Logitech RoomMate, Do I need 2 licenses?

@@UCStatus Thx. We are using this one...Câmera Logitech Rally Bar
Good I asked. You don't need a Roommate if you have a Rally Bar. Roommate and Rally Bar has Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android built in

It's just as simple with Zoom. just choose Zoom as the service provider and sign in with the activation code

If you have a Meetup already just buy the Roommate and Tap IP as an Android Base bundle. Then the Tap Scheduler on its own
why is youe mic on left channel? Nice vid though!
