I think so many people can relate to this statement. Dukes starting airing when I was six years old and every Friday night, my whole family would squeeze into my grandparents living room to watch the show. It was funny, silly, exciting, with a little thrill thrown in. Over the years, Tom and John felt like our "Friday night family." Loved them then, Love them even more now. Nostalgia is a beautiful thing. ♥ All the best to you.
That's because they love all their fans and fellow cast mates like family. Everyone is welcome as an honorary Duke cousin. At this point in time, John and Tom are now the sage veteran Uncle Jesse's of the world, and a great moral compass. Love The Dukes to this day. Thanks for the post, Tom. A little feel good in 2020 is really needed. Thanks, Cousin.
I lost my folks in the last few years, and I've noticed that TV & music from the 60's & 70's can really bring back a flood of memories. The shows back then were wholesome, you could have little kids & grandma in the room when the TV was on. My how times have changed...

The Dukes saved my life .They tried to car Jack me and I dropped the column shifter from park to first and put my foot to the floor. Just like the Duke boys. They don't teach you that in drivers ed!!!
Same thing, drunk guy driving slow swervin all over the road, we got around him. A couple of miles down the road we were sitting at a redlight when he comes flying up and locks his brakes squealing to a stop at an angle in the intersection. He jumps out and pulls a knife as he's screaming barely constantly at us, we made out he said he was gonna kill us... as he was in front of the car .. As he slapped our hood, First Gear and Pedal to the Metal.. knees to the bumper and oily hand and perfect face print on the windshield... he was spinning around and we were gone.... He wasn't hit hard enough to do any damage to the car or him sadly but probably for the best.. Hope it knocked some sense into him and I'm glad I didn't just jump out of the car and go for him.. Those were the days... not that confrontations are a good thing but that these days he would have probably had a machete or a bottle of acid to throw at us.. The car represented anyone whom stood up for their rights and fought governments that didn’t see things their way. This is what the Duke boys did and the General was their help to get the job done.
General Robert E. Lee wasn’t racist either. He opposed slavery. The only reason he fought for the South was due to the fact he could not raise a sword to his home state of Virginia, which eventually sided with the confederacy.

Hey Tom, I just got around to buying a Season 1 Dukes of Hazzard DVD collection. I haven't seen an episode in over thirty years and all the memories of it came rushing back when I watched. It's still just as entertaining 40 years later. The cars, the characters, the down-home jokes and dialog. It's great we have shows like that to remind us of simpler times. I know things are going to get better. Places are opening up and there's a sense of community on the street I haven't felt for awhile. God bless you and your family.
Hey Tom. I got to cook for you in Janesville, WI about 15 years ago. You were the Grand Marshall of a parade. I worked at the Ramada Inn. It was a highlight for me being a huge Dukes fan as a kid. I sent a Dukes CD with your sister to see if I could get it signed. I never got it back 🥺. Lol its still a highlight. Wish you nothing but the best and thanks for entertaining me for the last 40 years. ✌❤🍻
What did you cook for Tom?
@@stevep4574 Lasagna.
Was his sister hot?
@@frankienorbertsteiner8167 I was in a relationship at the time and she was older than me so I didnt look at her that way. To tell you the truth I only met her that time and i was focused on the food and hoping to meet Tom and get my CD signed lol. My boss knew her better, he worked with her at that place years before.

My brother and I met you in St.Louis back in 79 or 80 at the car show. Still got the picture. You were great, but we were kids and we came to see the General Lee. 😀
He’s got that Jim Morrison tone.

Child of the 70's. Bo & Luke Duke and Jon & Ponch on Chips were my idols. The Waltons was always great too.
This is only the beginning..it's only a matter of time before they decide the cross is offensive
Grew up with you folks. Thanks Tom. Really great to see you again. Thanks for all those memories.
Did not know Luke Duke could sing.
neither did I. I'm not even a country music fan and he sounds good. He should sing Good Ol' Boys
I remember his song , All the rock & roll of love. It played a lot on country radio in the eightys. Around the time Bo was singing Elvis's Its now or never. Look em up! Both were really good. YEE - HAWW! ✌
