Heck ya! Been running with my chonker sahasa for many years. Think I am something like 45ish% used for pets out of thousands oh hours in WF 😅. Used her all through the carrier meta years, to the smeeta meta years, and even through the vulpaphyla semi-meta (due to not perma dying)
@@TacticalPotato Yeah, whilst the update initially dropped with the mod bugged, Dig has become a LOT nicer with the companion changes. Previously a Sahasa Kubrow wouldn't Dig during combat, but now it will, so it'll Dig like crazy.
Chesa Kubrow (Clarence) was my first companion, sadly he wasn't good. Now however he's an absolute monster, also he's a mini Nekros. Even got him some drip, so he looks spiffy doing his thing.

I like the new predasites the most. They were such a weak companion before, but now they are not only usable but actually quite strong. And I like their design, kinda like hairless lions. With the upcoming update I think my reliable old Smeeta will see lots of use though. Tons of new lich weapons that all need to be formaed 5 times and then leveled up all the way to 40? Yeah, the XP boost charm should be very useful for that grind.
@@soupdujour4086 Yeah, I'm using that ability as well. It's great. But I'm also looking to get that ability that disarms enemies, I suspect that'd be very good for squishier frames.
Koumei+ Pharaoh+ Mecha mod set- S tier steel path nuke build. Diriga also good and Panzer Claws. Not sure about Nautilus I'm not really into grouping abilities when there's melee influence and moving the trigger left and right. And that one kubrow that makes you invisible is great for Khora, Protea, Dante or some other ability spamming frame.
14:47 Just FYI, I'm pretty sure that all companion mods that affect you directly (like Fetch, Resourceful Retriever, Animal Instinct, etc) and are not ability mods for your companion continue to work even while they are recovering from death. Mods that affect or add companion abilities that the companion itself needs to activate/trigger (examples: Charm, Duplex Bond cloning, Cat's Eye, etc) do stop functioning when they are not alive (in recovery state). I have done some light testing about those mods specifically listed. I still wonder though (but not enough to test it) if the passive critical damage bonus part of Tenacious Bond continues to function while your companion is in recovery state. I assume it does, but too lazy to verify.
Thanks to this video I realized I was missing my Cheza Kubrow for years from my inventory before the Companion updates as well as the account merging were a thing. Im going to have to ask someone who has one to take DNA samples to fix that but yeah loving the new beasts right now. I also went through the trouble to getting the rare elemental mods you get on Fortuna that were a pain to get for I guess a budget build I think it will get the job done but perhaps one day I'll go for the burning/toxic claws method.
I've actually been getting a lot of use out of my Vasca Kavat when I run my Despoil Nekros for Survival. She basically heals me all the time. I've only gone down like once since I started running her, and that's because I AFK'd in a SP Survival Omnia for a quick minute lol. Otherwise though, almost always full health now.
I've seen plenty of Warframe youtubers talk about the newly reworked companions, and which mod loadouts to put on each, but I have yet to see someone talk about HOW and WHERE to get all of those new mods in the first place????? Like, I didn't even know there were specific precept mods for the charger!? I know I can get the Bond mods from the various conservation NPCs across the 3 open world hubs, but where do i go to to get the rest?
@@TacticalPotato Okay, but where do i get the rest? Like the elemental mods for beast claws, or the resource mods? Or those 'Strain' mods for the Charger? Or any of the special pet exclusive mods that aren't basic precepts? ( I know where to get the Vulpa/Preda mods, and some of the mecha mods, but not any of the others)
Even if it isn't the best, my 10 forma Huras Kubrow named Ryko is my main beast pet. He was the very first kubrow I got, and I love him. Normally I run my MOA, though. Whiplash mine is awesome.
Health, armor, and shield mods of choice, tenacious, manifold, mystic and reinforced bond, blast shield, whiplash mine, guardian. The whole idea is that you get your MOA to spam as many abilities as it can. Use a prime laser rifle. With this build, your moa: gives you fire rate, enhanced crits (level and multiplier), shield gating, free abilities, enemy grouping and priming, and is as survivable as possible. Even without link mods, it will have 1500 health, 1200 armor, and over 1200 shields (or 3500 overshields). You can do a very similar build with hounds as well, and they are much better at priming. The electrical ball move is insane for priming entire rooms, but it won't group enemies for you.
I don't have all those new mods, just 2 or 3, but just the Kudrows are just amazing. I still like that DE took out the Kubrow down time with health and so.
Still rocking my huge omega sahasa kubrow since 2015😅. Re-formad her a bit since the update amd she now slaps steel path mooks easily with her claws. With primed pack leader and hunter synergy (edit: recovery, not synergy), i keep her alive, and she keeps me alive, with my melee heavy playstyle.
honestly I've been running my panzer vulpaphyla with resourceful retriever best thing hands down imo because of the viral spreading and then double resources but outside of that I've been running a hound and even Nautilus Prime
I've been revisiting a lot of builds to breathe new life into my arsenal. While I drag my Nautilus everywhere I quite like the idea of revisiting my pets. Especially my old loyal Charger.
Me putting down my smeeta cuz now I have the option to use my panzer and found out there’s a Nekros dog now (also for sentinel Helios will always have my heart, tho I’m trying to get nautilus for his grouping ability)
Before the rework i used a mecha dog with dante, 4 doggos and 3 birds was a cool little army. Now i am back to panzer because it gives crazy energy and the viral is just super useful. Also easy reinforced and tenacious bond, so very useful for all kinds of builds and it doesnt want to be resurected every 5 damn seconds.
I like using Nidus Prime with a Predasite equipped with Reinforced and Duplex Bonds. I call it a Hounds Master build. Larva the enemies up and let the pack of 4 dogs shred them, all the while healing me and themselves. The synergy with Nidus is super fun since Larva has an Augment that allows for even more damage.
Gotta say my favorite is the Medjay Predasite. With my Kuva Kohm and Mecha Overdrive it hits 400% status and melts enemies. Especially on SP survival with the groupings.
The one thing that’s holding back the Chesa Kubrow from being the best companion in the game is the fact that you can’t use Reinforced Bond with it. Definitely useful that it acts as a mini Nekros but still loses to overall utility provided by Vulpaphyla or Nautilus. Also, I want to point out that there is currently a bug where Hunter Synergy does not count towards Trnacious Bond requirement. DE have said that they know of the bug but it has not been fixed yet, making me stay away from Kubrow still.
Injured my hand shortly after farming all of Koumei's stuff, plus I'm moving house and was already managing Warframe burnout by slowing up before 1999, so my claw mod collection isn't much to call home about as I've put off conservation. I like the new pets rework the only thing that drives me crazy is the new mods are not available on the x box you can see them in the codex and we're to get them but The biz or son doesn't have them available yet
I really don't use Beast a lot and I really don't like that they added "claws" cuz now I have to re-mod and level-up everything. I rather they just added Arcanes to them and maybe an Aura an Exilus slot... But, they are better, I'll give then that.
I still prefer my viral quill vulp. Always have ran it since demios dropped. I love the look of them I love the AOE quill aspect of it (kinda like the spitter dinosaur) so yes.

Cull the weak is currently a terrible mod. Between Maul and Precision Conditioning you're already at +715% base damage. You're so heavily diminished on it that an additional 60% per status type affecting the target is completely unnoticeable. It even has negative synergy with Burning Claws and Precision Conditioning since they ensure you only ever deal 2 status types. And the additional base damage on non-crits does literally nothing most of the time and at the best of times is a sad consolation prize. You're better off equipping Flame Gland.
i still find it BS they took away best drop increase mechanic to replace it with something thats not even a shadow of what it was, and have the gall to say it was to balance out the pet usage.... but left the Chesa untouched despite being the other most used pet on the bunch... doubled standards suck, and of course no other pet lost their top abilities or anything just Smeetas
I guess knocking enemies down and grouping them up every 5 seconds is a useless feature since nobody likes the para moa. I've seen over a dozen videos on the companion reworks, not a single mention of moas, which are easier to access for new players and use sentinal weapons while taking aggro.
I have to update the build since the update, but it's the original build. Still holds up just fine and she recovers on her own so I can focus on whatever. Helpful whenever a new frame comes out. Although high rounds your number 1 is still best, I just like vampires. Lol

Only resource i hate farming is forma and thats just bc im too lazy to actually run plague star when its active
Does Loyal and Resourceful Retriever stack?
Nope
@ Well damn, ah well. Chesa Kubrow ftw
have you try huras kubrow....??
perma invi man >.
Yeah its great but i prefer sunika and chesa 👍
i am playing vasca kavat nuke because it has the best status chance
I love my moa. I named her tankhead
Vampire Cat, just because he can pick me up after I try to face tank a corpus shotgun to see if i can survive it (I cant)
😄
funni thing ive seen
the pocket desecrate kubrow mod people say its the best loot companion
but not ONE PERSON has actually shown proof that its good
anyways
for me i say kubrows and kavats are the least useful companions this is just kubrows and kavats not vuplas and predasites
but yeah robotics are def the best companions for pretty long time honestly
0:04 Old Beast mechanics @& AI booted 👍
5:53 this is an absolute eye sore 😅 what a party🎉
Cull the weak is currently a terrible mod. Between Maul and Precision Conditioning you're already at +715% base damage. You're so heavily diminished on it that an additional 60% per status type affecting the target is completely unnoticeable. It even has negative synergy with Burning Claws and Precision Conditioning since they ensure you only ever deal 2 status types. And the additional base damage on non-crits does literally nothing most of the time and at the best of times is a sad consolation prize. You're better off equipping Flame Gland.
Thanks 👍
i still find it BS they took away best drop increase mechanic to replace it with something thats not even a shadow of what it was, and have the gall to say it was to balance out the pet usage.... but left the Chesa untouched despite being the other most used pet on the bunch... doubled standards suck, and of course no other pet lost their top abilities or anything just Smeetas
I guess knocking enemies down and grouping them up every 5 seconds is a useless feature since nobody likes the para moa. I've seen over a dozen videos on the companion reworks, not a single mention of moas, which are easier to access for new players and use sentinal weapons while taking aggro.
Moas are good but this video is 'Beasts only' companions, it says it right at the Start and the thumbnail 👍
Smeeta for life
Vasca kavat since launch.
Oh really? What setup you got for it? its one of the few beast companions I've not clicked with
@@TacticalPotato Vasca has the best claws for damage! It also has the added utility of reviving you when you mess up!
I have to update the build since the update, but it's the original build. Still holds up just fine and she recovers on her own so I can focus on whatever. Helpful whenever a new frame comes out. Although high rounds your number 1 is still best, I just like vampires. Lol
@@Vinoncio yeah only reason for using it in netracell and archon hunt and elite archimedea
@@avikde9631 Yes, saved me a lot of retries
We need cyborg pets!
Ngl this feels a little to homogeneous for me ya know? Its all the same exact build with like the precepts changing out. Its not a problem with potatoes build but this is kinda the shape of peak performance and I dont think I do like it 😢
Panzer and adarza all day
Chesa's looting ability is just weak, better to use other pets that can kill enemies
MOAS
Can't be bothered farming tags to get these mods. WAY to tedious..
Trade for them?
first
