    My friend Zombie mentioned to me that he thinks that intrigue events are only for singleplayer and won't be in multiplayer. After rereading the event, I could see how that event could replace Tempest with another ruler, but I could still see it as another way to get access to recruitable heroes, similar to Lost Queen's crypt. Would love to get some other peoples thoughts on the topic :)

      Jordi confirmed that it's SP only, which basically means I'll be skipping out on this DLC 😅

    I don't think new layers are bad. They are optional realm traits and they add to game more depth. More content comes with more challenge and I like it.

      Yeah, that is the big advantage of the umbral abyss. I wish you could fully disable underground too though

    from Giant Kings: "delve for forgotten treasures deep beneath the earth" -- devs are adding a "deep underground" map layer that some previous AoW titles had, I called it here first :)

    Last thing(I Swear): 55:18 Someone on the reddit was concerned about how without Signatures providing affinity they couldn't have ninja's that could inflict both poison and ghostfire. So I provided the following which does that and more.
    Alchemy > Roots > Pyromancy > Shades > Pandemonium > Cycles > Calamity > Daemon Gate > Chaos Lord. All you need is 1 Chaos affinity from Culture, Society, or Dragon Lord.
    You have to really be spreading your affinities to run into issues, or not be playing any sort of focused build. That said, if they want to reduce requirements for tomes, I have no complaints.

    Wildgrowth herbivores with the Monk minor transformation is going to have a ton of personal healing.

    It's nice that Conjure Wildgrowth somewhat synergizes with the other trees a bit. If going the Support path, it can either heal an additional 10 temp HP, grant an addition Regeneration, or grant 1 Bolstered Resistance, on top of it's own effects. If going the debuff path, the Living Vines would be affected by Infested Summons, and would have the bonus health from Fortified Summons.
    But most importantly is how it will synergize with existing tomes/builds. On one hand it give obscurring flora on demand for Fey Touched, leading to extra buffs. On the other hand, plants burns, and whether the fire is holy or normal, it will spread so much better the ability summon fuel. Especially nice with Chaos Channeling.

    Summoned Bone Wyvern is a Tier 2 flying unit, plus you can raise it, when it's killed or died after 3 turns, also Devs got 2 Raise Undead, Wyvern is a "Distraction Carnifex", especially if Infested Summons works on it.

      Oh right, and I think raised units that were summoned can stick around more than 3 combat turns

    49:35 Grim Executioner, much like Keen Edge above it were both culture skills(Dark and Barbarian respectfully). They removed the culture skills too, with rulers gaining the core mechanic by default. So Dark ES will have Cull the Weak by default, which they couldn't get before because it was a Warfare skill. Non-champion Primal rulers no longer need to spend a point picking up their Communion skill.
    It feels like a mostly positive change, though it does make me wonder where some of the other skills have gone.

    You could already have 2 "Raise Undead" on a Ruler. The first from the Orb of Necromancy origin weapon which is a Single Action, and the second from miscellaneous items or weapon skills that is a Full Action. You can't pick Orb of Necromancy and be a Support class, so the Support class just has the Single Action version as the first skill of it's Necromancy line.

    25:25 Minor ambition is (Repeatable), so it will give 2 renown every 5 turns, as long as you have item equipped points should tick, so not too bad.

      It counts every equipped item separately, and tracks from when they were equipped. At max, you can get 20 renown every 5 turns from having 10 Tier 2+ items equipped, assuming you equip them all at the same time. Still, it would take 50 turns to get 200 from the repeatable, but it's better than first glance.

    46:16 The initiate and adept skills, at least for Chaos are the same +10% Crit chance to non-hero units in the army. That's how they will stack. Though I kind of hope the expert/master equivalent's don't keep that trend, because the idea that 4 shadow signature skills on 1 hero would give +8(+16 for non-repeating attacks) damage on flanking attacks is horrifying.

    For Restore: The left path is a strong heal/revive with a long range, that also buffs the target, in addition to granting Regeneration and cleansing negative status effects. The middle path is good healing in an AOE. And the right path is weak healing with no cooldown, that buffs resistance, and allows for actions if needed/available; though it needs a "once per turn" clause otherwise the Regen or overall buff stacking with Restorer or Alchemist is going to break the game.

    Is true. I never used Champion, and only used Dragon Lord like once. It was always Wizard King, or Eldritch Sovereign. The others just were not as appealing.

    I'm sad that they don't seem to want to give culture unique models to boats just for flavour's sake, in the stream Jordi said that they wouldn't as boat type equals to the unit type but it would be great to have the flavour of dark boats looking like evil spiky ships, High boats being golden eleguant vessels and so on while still having the basic language that says this one is mage unit, this one is a support unit. I just want more flavour to the game it would just be neat

    Giving materium dragons the elemental tag means they can be given Undying from the Creator Tome Eternal Earth.

    Is it just me, or have Champ and Wizard King just gotten worse? They've taken almost everything that made those two Godir types unique and stripped it out, placing it all in the skill trees instead.
    This is probably going to end up watering down the early game, as Champs and Wizards are now effectively the same until you make the conscious decision to spend much cherished skill points on getting everything back.
    The builds people make will become more homogenous now since no one will want to hamstring their character's combat potential by investing points in passives, leading to META-gaming a bruiser early on and grabbing passive only when necessary.
    I'm hoping they took this into account, and that we'll get more out of a skill point than just giving our Wizard Kings and Ascended Champions their old 20% boosts to Mana and Gold back.

      I'm pretty sure I heard himself say on the stream that all of the "economy" skills and stuff were now part of the renown system. I think he specifically had the same opinion you have that they should keep combat and economy bonuses separate so you don't have to feel like you're sacrificing combat for economy. I frankly don't remember when he says that, though I think it was in the later part.
      And just to be clear I 100% agree. I think that's why they made the renown system in the first place.

    Do not know... I have made so many order dragons. And there are other dragons associated with order too. Not only the ones I have made. So... I do not get that dragons are that chaotic. Similar, I think the Giants will not be flavour in that way too.

    Killing momentum works great with 1 shot long range weapon. Otherwise it will not cost whole skill point.
    New layers are no way and developers said exactly like that for all these idiotic ideas about sky dwelling or underground dwelling. No one will make new layer just for that.
