Hi, Ive enjoyed the two episodes of Christmas, today is a beautiful late season fall warmish day, my husband I have been bagging and gathering the leaves from our backyard to the front property which the city collects the leaves on the side of the road this week, often it is snowing and wet and yucky out but this last bit of fall weather we are loving! I am an interior designer and I stage homes for resale and I also love crafts . I've been enjoying making Christmas journals out of recycled old vintage Christmas cards, wallpaper samples, letters and envelopes from the mall and I make coffee dyed paper with old vintage lace! I sell these journals, as diaries or for photos and tucks for travel journals. So even though I am outside in this last blast of fall in Canada, I'm inside creating Christmas crafts. Love how you repurpose from year to year and change things up, I love a change ! Enjoy Can't wait to see your decorations as you continue this series of videos.

I watched a video where they mirrored the wall opposite the stairs railing to give the illusion of a double stair railing, and mirroring the decorations, it was stunning, reflected the opposite railing and I thought of it instantly as you were attaching the garland. I was in the UK for a month in August (I missed the heatwave lol) & loved it there. I visited many charity shops, one of my hobbies 😂 We are coming to the end of spring here in Australia so I've watched all your spring & summer episodes for ideas for our back verandah & front porch area. Nice job!! Its good to make note in the summer to save ornamental spent flower heads Iike Allium etc. We have a heavily wooded property and Im growing loads of hydrangeas and grasses too. We also have lots of woods in our rural area where we can just pull dried weeds and twigs with little pinecones still attached. They look great with chalk paint. I kept seed heads from our Allium that would be awesome sprayed that brass color. I need to invest in a couple more garlands but I will pick them up during after holiday sales for pennies on the dollar at nicer shops. No need spending money where we dont have to!! 😊
Just so lovely, the ribbon is especially nice. I used to use a faux garland with short branches, like a Christmas tree. I'd gather holly and juniper for the blue berries, plus a bit of cedar. It's really easy to just use the wire branch to tie in the bundles from nature. Look forward to seeing your home dressed up for Christmas.
I am an event/wedding florist. We do many installations similiar to this. I am loving all the natural elements! I picked up lots of fall items for 90% off and I plan to use them for Christmas.
I finally moved back into a home with a lovely staircase and bannister that I can bedeck with foliage. It’s literally the first time in over 30 years that I have been so fortunate. I began the process last week, but had to leave town for work, so left it partially undone. I can’t wait to get back to it this week!!! You have given me inspiration!! Thank you!! I live in New England. I use the Xmas tree branches(ones that are color coated and put in holes to the trunk) so I fill my planters with a little and also use fresh greens. It was and old tree from years ago.

Nice job!! Its good to make note in the summer to save ornamental spent flower heads Iike Allium etc. We have a heavily wooded property and Im growing loads of hydrangeas and grasses too. We also have lots of woods in our rural area where we can just pull dried weeds and twigs with little pinecones still attached. They look great with chalk paint. I kept seed heads from our Allium that would be awesome sprayed that brass color. I need to invest in a couple more garlands but I will pick them up during after holiday sales for pennies on the dollar at nicer shops. No need spending money where we dont have to!! 😊

Just so lovely, the ribbon is especially nice. I used to use a faux garland with short branches, like a Christmas tree. I'd gather holly and juniper for the blue berries, plus a bit of cedar. It's really easy to just use the wire branch to tie in the bundles from nature. Look forward to seeing your home dressed up for Christmas.

I am an event/wedding florist. We do many installations similiar to this. I am loving all the natural elements! I picked up lots of fall items for 90% off and I plan to use them for Christmas.

I finally moved back into a home with a lovely staircase and bannister that I can bedeck with foliage. It’s literally the first time in over 30 years that I have been so fortunate. I began the process last week, but had to leave town for work, so left it partially undone. I can’t wait to get back to it this week!!! You have given me inspiration!! Thank you!! I live in New England. I use the Xmas tree branches(ones that are color coated and put in holes to the trunk) so I fill my planters with a little and also use fresh greens. It was and old tree from years ago.
