The vellum pockets are lovely! I like the idea of putting them on top of postcards. By the way, my Washi stickers from Amazon arrived today and I love them! Thank you for talking about them the other day. The state of Washington where I live is back to phase 2 requirements as of 5/4/21 due to an increase in cOVID-19. I have had my vaccine, both doses, more than 14 days ago so I feel pretty safe going out in public. My caregiver has also had her vaccine so she no longer wears a mask in my home when she comes three times a week. However, I was told to continue to wear a mask in public which I do. 🐝🐝🐝
The beautiful vellum paper really made the pockets. Long in the tooth - as we age gums recede so more of the teeth show, therefore, long in the tooth!😄😁😆🦷🦷

Here in Ontario Canada we are in a stay at home order, meaning you only go out for meds, groceries and to walk on your own, until the end of the month. Our numbers are coming down very slowly. I'm in Queensland Australia and we have been lucky with minimal disruptions since last year, we seem to be managing our community cases really well and these community cases are because of slip ups with overseas people returning to Australia. I so agree with driving and txting as a bus driver I see it happening all the time even tho it can cost you your licence and huge fines. I love your vellum papers and these pockets are so cute.
Eve I think Rachel put a short pocket on her postcard with vellum and put the layer of vellum over the card and just glued the top part of the vellum. In other words she just raised the vellum. I think she called it a secret pocket. Lol 😆 I might be wrong but I thought that was the way I seen it. Lol 😆 Yours is very pretty. ❤ 😊

Most shops etc are open over here in Scotland but we still have to keep the two meter distance which is roughly six feet and wear masks. Most importantly we can now travel out with our local areas which is great. I have a daughter who stays away up in the North of Scotland which is a good distance from where I stay so it's good that now we can visit. I think its much about the same down south. I love these pockets E. These velum papers are gorgeous.

Here in Utah we are out of lock down. State not requiring masks except in SLC the capital. But a lot of stores and shops are still requiring masks. The napkin with butterflies - presumably using mod podge or gel medium? I've watched a couple of videos about that recently and have been experimenting with it myself. It makes the napkin or tissue paper a bit translucent, and gives it a kind of vellum-y look. You can do it on parchment paper, or on a plastic bag. If you use a large Ziploc, in my experience, it gives it a really smooth glassy look on the "down side" when you peel it off.
We haven't been on lockdown for a very long time. Our churches were closed for a little while. But we have been back in church for almost a year now. But we weren't hit very hard either. Any lose of life is too much! But it's been good for the most part here in Missouri.
Our newer car syncs our phones with our radio. Right on the steering wheel you can answer and voice respond. Even texts are read out loud. No hands off the wheel even. It was worth the extra 500 to get that option.
Wisconsin has been “open” for awhile, and there are some mask orders that have expired. Some capacity limits remain for restaurants etc. My family and most friends are fully vaccinated so we are about to venture out with friends for the first time. I’m enjoying all these little pockets and all the journals you’re making! 😃
Si am new here. I just wondered what all the challenges are. I know E's monthly journal challenge and the challenges with in them. But I noticed you had a book and were doing a page each day. Where did this book come from and how do you get involved. I love this group but there are so many challenges going on its difficult to know where to start when you are a beginner. I suppose too many parts to the engine as they say. I like to know where you should start. I hate looking at things half way through perhaps its my OCD LOL I will now watch this video. Love it. Just overwhelmed with everything.
I can understand that. Sometimes it is overwhelming. The book I use came from Margerete Miller on Etsy. She has a TH-cam channel and she does a weekly challenge. If you go to my TH-cam and go to my playlist there will be a playlist that says challenge. There are about 3 different ones. You can go there and just go to the first video to start. I am with you I don’t like starting in the middle.
Numbers have been dropping here. My daughter is a nurse at our smaller local hospital Friday-Sunday. Numbers were going down. She went four weeks with no covid admissions. This past weekend she had 3. Since vaccinations started probably half the people I see aren't wearing masks. In past week and a half numbers have started rising a little. Most place require masks but people ignore it. Like them or not I think they work. My daughter has held peoples hands as they died without family with them. Masked, glove, alot of washing off and changing before coming home and she has not gotten sick.

But, actually I saved so many, I can't find that one either!!!!I've been very busy for a month a few weeks working on a gift for my late mom's grandchildren. I've used your envelope/card idea and used old pictures, told some stories and some of her items, such as buttons, lace and flowers. These will get attached to some of her handmade Christmas ornaments. So, it has taken quite a while to put together. But, I've been trying to keep up with your videos. I think “long in the tooth” maybe came from horses? We had our horses teeth floated. They file them down. Maybe it comes with age? That would make sense. 😁

The Vellum that you received is Positively STUNNING "E"💕 I have been extremely busy packing up and selling off most of the contents in our home (including our home)(by myself thanks to Covid!) since my husbands sudden passing in January, but I will definitely be printing some Vellum once I move in with my daughter (my only child) and her man (who have graciously offered me the entire basement of their new home AND who are expecting their first child in August). E...thanks for the reminders about driving. Seriously...people are driving like maniacs. We've had a couple of close calls and my students have been telling me about really troubling encounters. The very worst was a few weeks ago when my husband and I saw a man in his 50's go berserk because a woman in her 80's-90's was crossing the road. SHE had the right of way and was moving briskly; he did not and was turning on red. He screamed obscenities shook his fist at her. It was VILE. The irony? The light turned green and he missed it...too busy being a thug. A thread on The Guardian also had many opening up about bizarre, violent, dangerous encounters. Seriously...some people need to grow up, learn civility and get their priorities straight. A pandemic is no excuse to revert to being a Neanderthal. We all need to be careful and look out for each other. Thanks so much for the timely reminder. Love the cards!

I have a question... can you print on and or make pockets with, wax paper? Like you would vellum?
Hi I have stamped on waxpaper with stays on ink maybe alcohal ink. but I have not tried printing on waxpaper.
