For real - reminds me of the good old days, watching a block of fishing shows like Hank Parker, Shaw Grigsby, In Fisherman, Babe Winkelman, Jimmy Houston, and of course Bill Dance!
I grew up watching your TV show, but I favored the odd episodes where you'd catch crappie or catfish - I only got into bass fishing within the last ten years, and before then I was obsessed with catching the biggest channel cats I could. Once I caught a 3' and then a 4' catfish, I switched to bass! Lol Since then, I've been reading, watching, and learning everything I can about bass behavior, and I've gotten pretty good at catching them! My go to lure is a larger size spinner bait (Houston Legend, double blades is a good size) with a soft plastic paddle tail minnow (4") threaded up onto the hook; the trailer gives the lure more profile and vibration, and the larger size (hopefully) entices larger fish - since the small ones will still go for it, and it's easier to cast accurately or in the wind, I figure go big or go home!
I swear this guys gonna be 100 still kicking and fishing. To think he’s 81 years old still able to fight these fish. Bill Dance is a true legend!!! I just hope guys like Drew Cook Stetson Blaylock Brandon Cobb KVD and all of the Googans will fish as long as Bill does
My brother and I grew up watching Bill Dance and Jimmy Houston in the mid 90s and early 2K. Watching this now feels like i only took a week off. God bless these guys!
I see him fishing a lot of lakes with no one else on the water so maybe they are private property. A few of his boats have different state registration numbers so perhaps he has boats stashed across 3-4 states.
Hey Rod. We fish lakes all over. Some are ones we've developed but we fish a ton of public waters. I love fishing oxbows on the MS River, the actual river itself, Pickwick Lake, and many watershed lakes in Tennessee. I'll travel to where they're biting! Check out the fishin' trail we're developing all across the great state of Tennessee right now.
@@billdance Hey, Bill! Fisherman from Northern Indiana, here. I was wondering, have you ever fished Lake Shafer in Monticello? There are some great bass, walleye, and catfish in there, but the true secret are the monster bluegills!!!
Another goodun... Thanks, Bill!
Just got done watching! And now I'm going fishing with Bill dance today!!!! It's that time again folks spring bassin
Time spent with Bill Dance is time well spent….always. There’s a nostalgic, relaxed feel to Bill’s show that I love.
