Everything goes wrong when you try to make a speaker sound like something it isn't. You can't magically turn an V30 into a Greenback, it just doesn't work like that. It works with normal sims with IR's because the speakers you have at studio or gigs are Full Range. It is imo stupid on a next level, when will the madness stop? Line 6 and the spider series never learned from it, in fact they just made it worse when they introduced a tweeter into the whole clusterfuck.
Well Done ! Code amps got a bad rep in the past. But since the new updates , I think they are fun.The App is GREAT. I do wish the Compressor was a separate pedal choice.Compressors are vital to modelling.
@@BkBk-gy6vr Any issues with this amp so far? bluetooth connectivity and such? I'm thinking about buying one myself and my luck, they come out with a Code MKII
@Bronco2Cj No issues, I sold it because to me it doesn't sound good. The Eq doesn't help much, and the volume and master are either a little sensative or not sesative enough when trying to get the volume you want. Delay and reverb are poor. I think a cheaper Yamaha Thr would be better.
Is this thing worth getting as a bedroom amp? I'm debating something like this or a straight forward amp, like an orange crush 1x10 combo which because of black Friday sales the Marshall is 200 bucks! I don't wanna pass up a good thing if it is worth it ;)
I fought with liking my 50 watt for 4 years. Finally I now just run a couple of simple amp models like the plexi and jtm with and a good overdrive and equalizer separate pedals and it sounds great in the bedroom. Need to adjust everything to your liking presets suck. And turn the amp volume down to .5 not just the master volume
Is this basically the Marshall equivalent of the Fender Mustang GT100 and GT200? I like modeling amps, and I have a GT200 at home that I love, and I just found one of these Code 50's for $150 and am considering grabbing it for shits and giggles. How would these compare?
If you want classic Marshall tones, the Code will obviously get you way closer than the Katana ever will without extensive tweaking and EQing. If you want more modern tones, get the Katana.
Would recommend anyone who's going to buy this and plays it first. It has a bad rap because many people think it us bad, me included. I could not get it to sound anywhere close to how it does in the video, not even the factory presets. Basically aside from a few passable clean tones, i found it muddy and sh... If you want an honest review go look at Elmo Karjaleinen's, and listen to what experienced players say. TH-cam reviews pretty much tell you nothing because they're all biased and or sponsored. Karjaleinen is a gem in the sense that he is the exception here
I have a code 50 as well and honestly thing it sounds good as long as you leave the cab modeling off

I swapped out the speaker for celestion A type, what a total improvement.
I have the 100 combo and love it, but must admit, I wasn't aware Marshall were still putting out updates for the Code amps. Not very well advertised.
The notice comes up on the app
@@viletantrum The app didn't work on my phone for about two years until the updated the app. Now all working fine.

I dont think the updates have helped much. I would like to see Marshall come out with something new, up to date with better sound.

I just got this amp
This just popped up for me. I wasn't sure they were still making these. I felt like they were getting an unfair slagging previously.
Is the pedal referring to the Marshall CODE 4-Way Stompware Footcontroller
??

would you recommend the Marshall CODE 50 or the BOSS katana? which would you think sounds better?

Katana all the way
How about getting the slash tone? Marshall code 50 or boss katana 50 mk ii?
@@rmcf3972you could just download a patch for that but in terms or quality and performance I’d go with the Katana.

Does the amp have a pitch pedal so I can tune my guitar down to Eb or D Standard?
Yes ! It is called "pitch shifter" in the in the FX section
sooooooooooooo good man!
How does it take a wah pedal?
Can inpput guitar padale
it works well with a pedalboard?
100w version has send/return. On 25 and 50 you need to use natural pre amp with all other effects turned off
But you can buy a switchfoot build exactly for code, its about 60 euros if i remember correctly
how long has this amp been out?
Since 2015/16 or so.......
What model fender stratocaster is that? I see you upgraded the bridge pickup. Is that a Seymour Duncan Vintage or Hot Rail pickup?
Its Fender American Pro, that magnet is Dimarzio The Chopper in bridge ^_^
@@filipstojkovski9496 Great! Thank you sir!
Sound much more badass with my Black SG of honor playing Frigid DoomMetal🤘
I got mine too I love it
Hi. How this amp works with pedals? It is pedal friendly? Greetings
I'm not really happy with the tone of this amp. But it takes pedals great
that's an advert.
This is not a review! This is just a promotional stuff. Promotion is fine. But why do you you guys call it review?! Come on, be real!
Channels that don't reply to the comments they get are so LAME.
feeling lonely?
100 percent
Thats because they have an inner circle of people on youtube that they would rather talk to.
If they got money ,they dont care comments..
The Code 50 is without doubt the crapist tone and the biggest rip off
