- Thrift shop with my Mother and I in Albany Oregon as we visit the largest vintage flea market in the county! I score two incredible artist signed Spring garden flower plots. We then make our way to a massive St. Vincent De Paul thrift store and find even more vintage decor.

oh sweety I was blessed to have her much longer. My mom died when I was 34. But I can totaly sympathize with you. And why I love seeing Selena with her mom doing fun things.

I just lost my Sweet Momma 9mths ago. She was my Best Friend. 6yrs ago we moved her in to care for her because of her declining health. We discovered she had Dementia. She forgot me. But I still adored little moments with her. I have ALWAYS LOVED Elderly people ❤ So I have many that's adopted me as theirs 🌷I miss My Sweet Momma🌷Hugs to you Ivy💝

I love that you and your mom Thrift together. I used to do that with my mother but she's now 87 and not so healthy so she's not my shopping companion very often. Sometimes she'll go and sit in the car while I shop but it's not quite the same. I love that she gets very excited when I come home with my Loot and show her. Thank you for taking me along on your shopping trips. What flea market were you at? And where was that thrift store you went to they had good stuff?
My mom and I use to go all the time but she is 86 and not able to do it anymore also ..so if I go out she to wants to see what I got and where I am going to put it...I miss doing that also...

I have a pillow problem too! Also have a hard time resisting picture frames and candlesticks and vases and.. and... BTW, you could use the ostrich feather napkins to make pillow covers with feathers on one side and a solid color fabric on the other.
Marie Antoinette wore ostrich feathers in her hair and sparked fashion trends.

Another great shopping trip!! 🛍 That cherub plant stand was breathtaking, I thought it said $150 I about choked when y'all said it was, $1150!!😳 (I'm sure that's still a good price, just not in my price range. Lol) Those planters were gorgeous, & I love that neck pillow Sheila! I need one of those for when I'm riding in the car, on long trips!!

I live in Albany. My friend and I went to that flea market. It was packed super early. I found some really great treasures. I was surprised, I actually bought that stitched bird picture, for only 35 dollars. We really have some great thrift/antique stores here.

Selena, the ostrich feather napkins are lovely. I would make throw pillows out of them with a soft pastel pink colour fabric on the other side. Perhaps they might end up in use on your balcony? You would get so much more enjoyment from them as throw pillows because you would see them every day and you could wear your slip dress and use the pillows in a photo shoot.

OMG oodness!!!! That's soooooo true about being nice and not being a jerk. Even when I had a garage sale, if someone was hateful and mean, I wouldn't come down on the price. In my mind I would say, I'd rather give it to charity than lower the price for you (grump butt), but then if someone else asked sweetly, I would barter with them and feel good about it. ✌✌🙏
I agree. I learned this first hand when I ran my parents' estate sale. A guy asked me how much the towels were. I told him and he scoffed. He said, " I'll give you___ for them" His price was nowhere near what we were asking. I told him no. I countered and he gave me crap for not coming down much. And then restated his low-ball offer. I told him, with a smile, "That's okay. I don't It's obvious you don't want them very much."

I love pillowcases with embroidery too! I found a cute way to use them as throw pillows covers. I use an 18" X 18" pillow form and then slip the pillowcase on so that the embroidery can be folded over to the top front (like and envelope style pillow). I love the look for on beds.

Hi if the fire stick succulent is the same as we have in Australia it can be extremely bad for animals. I have seen dogs that have been horribly burnt by the sap from this plant and I would worry about Millie in particular. I love them but refuse to have them near my garden because of this. Dogs first always here. Love watching you and your Mum.
What is it about pillows. I believe them to be “small” pieces of art. Currently mine are resting in a bedroom. My collection nearly reaches the ceiling. I do as your mom does. I purchase the blanks from thrift as well. New blanks are very expensive.
