Just shows that the engineers who built that culvert knew exactly what they were doing as that amount of debris is easily moved along with no obvious damage. Amazing sight, so Thank you for sharing.

Proved what I had long suspected. That epic floods are not uniform ,but arrive in pulses and drain in pulses.

It’s rocks further uphill giving way, and mini dams in the culvert or stream giving way.
It’s a very dynamic movement, and unlike a steady stream of water from a tap for example.
This is full of rocks, pulverised rocks, mud, trees, soil and debris from earlier flows that wasn’t enough to trigger a full discharge of the culvert. Fascinating isn’t it!
