    I have been at this work since I was 10, am an engineering, and have returned to restoring. With all that, your depth of experience and knowledge show me new things. The best engineers know that will never see it all and know it all; the universe is vast. I am often reminded. Thank you for your efforts to reach to me.

    There is a master (he-he) -slave relationship with the VG91 to TVA92 using a male to male DA15 D-sub cable.
    The proper equipment needed to show what the TV is doing ,bad or good, is expensive but worth it!
    Saw Shango's use of them together in one of his videos 6 months ago. He is the man. Can't wait to see what
    things you will discover about your Meck using them.

    Chroma works with the color circuits; there may be a 3.58MHz signal around there somewhere.

    I’ve got that same combo, I’ve found them both to be quite flaky. They will work for a little bit then kick off. Sometimes a power cycle brings it back other times not. Suspect relays need to be cleaned or replaced

    Nice kit ! I would get a working TV and start to practice buy substituting various signals and stuff, that would be great to see if you had the time and would be a great tutorial for all of us, well me at least !...cheers.

    DB15: Yep ... sometimes it's that straight forward ...

      Yeah, I was assuming they used a custom cable so you'd have to purchase theirs. Glad I was wrong.

      @@bandersentv People messing with us again in the electronics and computer community.
      Correctly its a DA-15 then DB-25 apparently we been saying it all wrong for the 15 pinout plug for
      B is used for the 25 pinout plug only. Then DC-37 for the 37 pinout ,etc. All are two rows of pins.
      The DB-15 is actually a three row VGA plug only. Never knew that.

      It does, but I suspect it made be a bit older. I'll do a follow up and pop the cover off. I'm curious to see what's inside.

    I just ran across both of these new in the box last week. Yard sale. $12 for both. Lol

    To be exact, that's a DA-15 connector, not DB-15. But most people call any size of D-sub connector "DB-__".

    • @hestheMaster
      @hestheMaster 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're right. A guy selling some of them with the cable was calling them DB-15. Which really means a three
      row 15 pinout connector also known as VGA. The correct connector has two rows only.

    Good deal! Now, you have to hunt down a user, and service manual.

    • @bandersentv
      @bandersentv  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      There's a pull out quick user guide builtin. Forgot to show it. VG91 has one as well. Also Shango kindly photographed every page of his manual and sent it to me. 👍
