with those with thicker accents, it is possible to understand them better by hearing them for a longer period of time. Had a teacher from Bangladesh as a homeroom and science teacher in middle school, and was able to understand her accent after a couple weeks give or take. Since Xecnar offers game insight that other streamers may not be able to give (and relying on other people's explanations may not encapsulate the nuance of his live plays and decision-makings), it may be worth it to spend some time viewing his streams/asking chat for clarification on what he's saying so you may be able to understand him eventually
Don’t feel bad, I have trouble understanding him sometimes and I have immigrant parents and lots of Asian friends with immigrant parents who I have never had trouble understanding. There’s a joke in my native country that you can just pretend to be good at English if you just talk fast even if you’re not saying words. Xecnar knows more than enough English, but talks too fast to really get the minute enunciated differences inside of words especially when he mixes in slay the spire and twitch slang
I also have tried to watching the him but while he might even be a bit better player than Baalord he doesn't have the cozy vibes and the dad jokes. In the end is about entertainment for me.
I need a new slay the spire video i can’t sleep
StS 2 card idea: 0 cost, draw 2 cards, kill one random twitch viewer. Would you put this in your deck
he probs wont bc where will his income go lol
I like xacnar he is truly best in the game but I can't understand his accent so I can't watch him.
