The main reason, in my opinion, that they split is because Nick wanted more children and Mariah didn’t. He said while they were married that he wanted 8 kids. Pregnancy was very traumatic for Mariah both times she got pregnant, and Mariah’s trust issues are so deeply rooted that it’s hard to see her being ok with having a surrogate mother carry her other children, so I understand why Nick ended up filing for divorce. But Mariah said after the spilt that they could’ve worked it out, but Nick probably already checked out when he was certain that Mariah wasn’t going to give him more children.

The main reason, in my opinion, that they split is because Nick wanted more children and Mariah didn’t. He said while they were married that he wanted 8 kids. Pregnancy was very traumatic for Mariah both times she got pregnant, and Mariah’s trust issues are so deeply rooted that it’s hard to see her being ok with having a surrogate mother carry her other children, so I understand why Nick ended up filing for divorce. But Mariah said after the spilt that they could’ve worked it out, but Nick probably already checked out when he was certain that Mariah wasn’t going to give him more children.
Still not a valid reason to divorce though. He got the girl he wanted and now I don’t want her anymore.
@@meed8738 I don’t think it’s valid either, but I get his perspective. He wanted to do as lord said and be fruitful and multiply. And he’s a lot younger than Mariah so he still possessed the energy to keep up with multiple kids… as long as they were being raised under the same roof. It was the new status he’d gained from being with Mariah that went to his head and eventually gave him the dumb idea to have multiple kids with multiple women. He couldn’t stand not being the bigger star in the relationship. It became a battle of egos in the end.
He cheated and lied about it. He downplayed by trying to say she was having a mental breakdown something she doesn't take lightly because she actually suffered a mental breakdown from being verbally and mentally abused by her first husband
@@nicoleanderson4076 if he did cheat it’s because he had already lost hope in the marriage because he obviously wanted more children and Mariah did not. Nick made up in his mind king before he ever met Mariah that he wanted many kids. When he realized Mariah wasn’t the person to do that with he decided to venture outside of their marriage. Should he have waited til they were no longer together? Yes, but I still believe the root cause of their split was simply the fact that he wanted more kids.
