Im a melee player first but i’m a sheik main in ultimate because it genuinely feels like her most unique iteration. Melee shiek feels horrible to lose to, but everything feels earned in ult with her. she’s like the only character in ult that feels balenced on risk-reward and has legit combo strings and mix ups. She’s really good in ult because of her speed but she requires good execution to win, unlike pika i don’t think shiek can really spam moves like a lot of ult characters. You can spam ftilt but you won’t really get anything off it by doing that. She has all the options she needs to get kills and combos but u actually have to think about it a little unlike most ult characters at least in comparison to competitive melee. A lot of times i wish melee shiek had bouncing fish and a less strong fair.
You can't spam with Pika. As a Pika main he's in imo one of the most precise characters in the game. If you spam one move enemies can adapt. They will get rage comebacks and trades which sucks for Pika. You have to play smart and precise with Pika in order to win.
Greninja is also a character that makes you think
@@mjfan1588 yeah but you just like use Tjolt, then read their response after -> grab if shield then nair loop or down throw thunder or fair/ drag down nair if they jump over. Pika is hella precise for inputs and reacting to DI but definitely has a lotta things you can spam.

@@chasesigler9885 like? parry exists but in that case just tjolt more, you lose nothing doing so. you could clank with it but you'd still have end lag which can get punished. if they parry and dash towards you there's quick attack to just leave. if you don't want that to get read then you have all the vanilla options to run as well. I didn't mention ESAM once fam it's just a factually spammable option. i got no issues with it neither it forces players to think about their options.

I just have one, simple question for all y'all Sheik mains: I am a relatively new player to competitive Smash, although I am experienced in fighting games. I played a bit of Sm4sh but only got properly serious with Ultimate. What am I, as a Belmont/Mewtwo comain, supposed to do about Bouncing Fish? To me, it seems like an unbeatable move that just automatically kills me every single time I go off stage. I don't understand it's properties, trajectories, or utility at all. All I know is it destroys me for free and I have no idea what I am supposed to do in response to it.
I don't main sheik, but if I had to guess, I don't think belmonts could do a whole lot if put in a bad situation. They have bad drift and air dodging might get them killed anyways. As for mewtwo, his side b can be used to stall in the air, and his specials can be B-reversed in order to change momentum and avoid it. normal air dodging can also work, but depending on many factors, sometimes you will lose your stock regardless of what you do based on option coverage. I don't know your skill, so I don't really know how much I should explain without overwhelming you, but I hope this helped.
