  • Stock market historian and author John Boik joined the "Investing With IBD" podcast this week to give his thoughts on the current trading environment, leading stocks and how the artificial intelligence theme is propelling the market forward. Boik details why the greatest traders of all time, including IBD founder Bill O'Neil, were students of history and how that helped them become elite traders. Plus, we review Nvidia (NVDA), Super Micro Computer (SMCI) and Celsius (CELH).

As an elder millennial in the market, one of the few advantages through the great recession, my advice..... reduce unnecessary expenses, increase your savings by investing in financial markets and do not sell. One thing I know for sure is that diversifying your income can help insulate you from much of the craziness going on in the world right now

I’m not sure you can compare 2023 to 1995. Our debt to GDP ratio is over 120, compared to then it was under 50%. These numbers are not sustainable long-term as seen by Japan, like 30 years of stagnation. all the coming stimulus will not have as much of an effect as it did back then.
I think the growing of the debt ratio is what allowed the stock market to accelerate so fast during the 90’s and 2010’s. Just IMHO
