I love riding in winter here in Queensland, but Tassie? Bugger that! I'm way too soft! I was cold enough there in summer! HaHa! That looked like a fun fast paced ride to breakfast! What a great road! It all looked awesome after breakfast as well! I was trying to follow on Google Maps where you went, I could see roughly the route you took maybe. There's certainly no shortage of great dirt roads to explore in Tassie. This makes me want to trailer my DRZ down to Melbourne and bring it over on the ferry to explore the back roads more than I was comfortable doing on my V-Strom last time. Looked like a magic day mate! 👍
Great to see you back making videos Geoff. 👍 Well done. Thanks for adding our logo. 🙏 Can’t agree more about this time of year and no dust. Coal Hill lookout is a bit of a disappointment, I ride up there when scoping Ride the Byroads route only to find no view. I think there was a view once but the regeneration timber has grown up blocking the view. Oh well, it’s nice to trees growing.
Great to see you back out down south mate. Looked a magic day down the valley.. Great video as usual. Last time I went over the link road it was just like riding on ice, dry dusty marbles .. I didn't enjoy that much. Stock tyres on the T7 are terrible for that stuff. 👍🍻
Certainly has been a while. Perfect day out weather wise, you're right about less people out and about. I can't handle dust or idiots in 4WDs that won't slow down on gravel roads. Bush pig for winter riding, mainly around the North (Ben Lomond, Mathinna areas). Summer riding / touring on the black stuff is left for the Africa Twin.
spectacular weather , the guy's! as always and now my back tyre is starting to get down in tread and every ones tellin me to change it ! and I'm like WHY fellas? just when the rear is only just starting to get interesting. the bitumen ride actually included " police point " a patch of coast road twisties , an awesome patch, if you do have the time when your down here look out for it.
Great ride ... plenty of variety. 👍
Thank you for watching and commenting

You have a great combination of bikes for the Tassie weather and seasons 👌
