Raptor, terrain like high ground and crossing rivers,forests,etc... matters alot in combat.
That's why you lost that unit in the first battle,the enemy had the high ground.

Raptoria always has the high ground. It's like fighting on an elevator.

Wow this game looks really promising! Can't wait! This is what Civ should have looked by now. That franchise never modernized at all. More of the same. So many layers of "same". This battle system for example looks really innovative.

I like that the graphics are more realistic, especially after the extremely cartoonish Civ 6 ones.
Same, I always look for realistic best graphics but when i play it I lower it down as possible it can.

I hope in Civ 7 that they'd make the graphics lean more towards on what they did in Civ 5 but with the mechanics of Civ 6 and more improvements overall.

They're like those darn talkative Warcraft units ("alright", "ok", "for the king", etc.).
I love the fact you can do that
Raptor the way to settle is to make an outpost with money and then use money to make it a city
The world of this game feels very big, like you are really exploring new lands. Looks very promising. I really dig civilization (only played civ 6), but sometimes it feels like everyone is a stones throw away from each other.

You can play the game in chrome
Wish it had the more close to the ground interactive capability of a true city builder.
It's not an actual city builder, it's a 4X game with better city mechanics than Civ.
It would be a good idea to do a little research or just play once before recording.
but then we wouldn't get as good of content like Raptor arguing with his troops.

Its taken the Civ series to get where its at, and this looks very much like a reskinned version of a Civ game. With that said, what are your thoughts about this going head to head with that franchise?

Not sure how far the technology goes in this game but imagine, you could have battle of Kursk 2 electric boogaloo in this game! the combat mechanics look awesome
The tech tree covers all of human history, so yes you can have massive tank battles.
It has lot of similarities with Endless Legend at least in visual style and gameplay mechanic.

Yea that makes me not want to buy it. Every game I have bought from that developer has crashed a lot and desyncs for multiplayer.

Does this game have premade map? I am now watching second video on this game and both times maps looks identical.
I think the map is pre-made for this specific version of the game, when it's fully released it'll likely be auto-generated

Will this game be multiplayer? I mainly play these games with a group of friends we love creating campaigns. We love CIV the most because we can all play since Total War limits us to a 2 player boring campaign.

Check out Endless Legend. Apparently same developer and this seems to be the same only with a historical bent to it rather than the sci-fi in Endless Legends.

@@Jeyricho Stadia is a dying platform. It’s basically a flop and I can’t in good faith recommend you buy a game on a platform that might not exist in a few months.
@@jamiekamihachi3135 this game seems pretty fun though! What if they continue to pack their platform with equally promising titles? It's owned by Google, certainly they have the budget. However, Google Circles WAS trash, I'll definitely concede that.
Based on what you said, I think it's smart to wait and see if they can turn it around. But something I'm curious about: will it improve the quality of the game if you purchase it on Steam versus purchasing it on Stadia?
