It’s a real shame to see what’s probably the most generous and F2P-friendly gacha game ever made be shut down, but damn was it a real good one and got the conclusive ending it deserved. I just finished the second half of the final chapter and found myself tearing up during the final boss. Dragalia was really something special, and I'm glad FEH did a crossover event with it, or I'd have never discovered this hidden gem.
Nearly 11 years and he's still under 50k subs. The absolute fucking drive of this man is unparalleled and he deserves way more for the dedication he has put into his channel. Good work!
Though I honestly wish they at least made the past collab events available via the event compendium. Though that would be SEGA & Capcom's call to make.
Honestly for me the collab events still hold a space in my top ten, since they really did went all out to make collab characters or translate characters from the collabs into crossover characters that worked and were fun to play with, heck with the Persona 5 event characters, they implemented their main personas in place of turning into your equipped dragon.
I'll never forget all the fun characters and stories that Dragalia Lost brought us. My only critique with your list is that I'm an Elysium apologist. Sorry, I just think that dragon god is really cool and useful as a unit!
Yeah kinda hard to be mad when you learn that he was kinda played like a fiddle by Xenos for his own ends and just wanted to keep the things he loved so much safe despite how extreme his methods were.
I used to hate Elysium too, but now I just feel bad for him. He's kinda a victim of circumstance and was genuinely trying to save the world he loved so much, including the humans. I think the biggest issue is that he felt like he had to do everything on his own and never really confided on to anyone.
I never played Dragonia Lost because I heard horror stories about how much memory you need in order to play it and after Fire emblem Heroes and FGO, I just stopped playing mobile games all together except for Genshin Impact on my PS4. But these events sound more interesting then the next and while I never played the game, I will always remember the banging summon theme and the awesome OST. An excellent look back at the events and now I have further respect for the game!
It WAS bad, but later by the 2 year celebration (or something like that), they released an update that allowed more free space by deleting past event data, that could be accessed again in the event compendium.
So, another thing about Advent of the Origin is that it was released shortly after Cygames announced that EoS would be coming. As such, it stuck out to me as Cygames' projecting about EoS; with Bahamut representing Cygames themselves (it's their logo for Meene's sake) erasing the world with EoS and the "power of friendship/menories" was them stating that as long as we maintain the memories of the game, it will never truly die.

Dragalia Lost will always be the best mobile game to have ever graced this world in my eyes. I will miss playing with my adorable shy sylvan mage Althemia, Papa Bear Nevin, my favorite edgelords Aldred and especially Bellina, Sinoa and her constant explosions, Sassy Sarrise, Daddy Inquisitor Curran, precious eldritch daughter Lathna, mamma's girl Pinon, Naveed the suave lithomancer, Verica with her....assets, Estelle and her loving hand, Halloween Laxi going ZOOOOOOM around the battlefield, Nino with her funky design and voice, Yukimura going super saiyan and hopping all over the place, and most importantly my favorite precious maid child: Melody. I'm going to miss playing with them all, along with every other fantastic character in this wonderful world in this wonderful game. The real Dragalia Lost was truly the friends we made along the way. ^w^
I can say that this video was one of your magnum opuses and I can understand why. I'm not a Dragalia Lost Player myself and I've never played the game due to not being available in my country which is the Philippines. I can say is that it's very tragic that this game has potential to increase its audience especially for players who wants to play the game as well without relying on VPNs but decided to end its service and it's devastating for people like me who never got the chance to play. Thank you Dragalia Lost! You're the best game I've never had the chance to play. I wish you have a spiritual successor soon.

Don't you think it's kinda odd that despite Dragalia Lost being a Nintendo IP. There was not a single mention of it in Super Smash Bros Ultimate? No Spirits, no music, no Mii Fighter costumes. Zip! Not even a Spirit Event. Maybe Sakurai doesn't play mobile games either that or the game was still in development around the same time as Ultimate.
Sad as I am that the game is over, I am happy it went out on such a high note, unlike popular games which try to squeeze out every cent possible. Here's hoping Dragalia Lost: Relink is eventually a thing.
Ah I remember Dragalia lost, played it for a long while. Unfortunately the long grind to make good gear and units is what made me stop sadly. Still this was a really fun game and I liked how everyone, even the dragons, were their own characters. Personal favorite event was the first fire emblem event mostly cause I don’t remember much of the other events without looking them up.

I'll forever be frustrated by them not getting Mega Man & Dr Wily's VAs from Mega Man 11 for the crossover. So, we could've had the blue bomber interact with the other characters.

I never played Dragalia lost because I've never been a fan of Gacha games but this countdown made me surprised on how the stories and arcs are handled. Also, I saw a couple of crossover event trailers. Mainly the P5S and the MegaMan Crossover. Were those events fun?
Yes, the crossovers were fun. For the Monster Hunter, it was a raid battle against a Rathalos and eventually a Fatalis. The Megaman was kinda eh to me, as it kept the Elemental Weakness of MM by having one greatwyrm drop a print that gives increased damage against a different one before taking on Wily; but that was it, and the "story" was just the MM2 opening and ending cutscenes. Persona: A raid boss against a Monarch Emile, but it did give some good characterization to him. And the FEHs were fun too with the draw of the 1st one being a new type of mode: defensive map where you have to defend an objective from waves of enemies (and Fog of War in the Hard Mode), and the 2nd was fighting against AI versions of different adventures (and you get on the receiving end of Afliction spam).
The Megaman crossover was nothing special. The only thing you did was fighting Dr. Wily The P5S was way better. Not only did it have story but through this event we got more depth into the backstory and personality of a recurring Dragalia character.
I really hope they continue this franchise one way or another. This game is too good to just let it die off for good. Still hoping Euden makes it into Smash Bros someday!
Hardly. It's had a final event and multiple story chapters after the announcement of EoS, which contain some of the highest production values in the entire game. I love this game to hell and back and I'm sad It's ceasing content updates, but the game has reached its logical conclusion considering the trajectory it was on (for better and for worse). Also, 4th anni log in bonus art was datamined this update along with events till the end of the year. The game will probably just stay online and cycle events, so it'll still be playable

I thought Dragalia Lost was going to follow a timeline similar to Dr Mario World (Final update in July 2021, and EOS date of November 1st 2021). Not only has Dragalia Lost gotten its final update, but the shop is still running with no EOS date set. I suppose, maybe we'll get a 4th and final anniversary with an EOS date set.
There has been alot of good mobile games being shut down or have been shut down already. This is the most disappointing to see a f2p game such as this shut down. It be ame my go to game from the very beginning. It really feels just like Mobius FF all over again, cause I loved that game and played it to death until the end of its service. I'm definitely gonna play this one to the bitter end. It gave me so much stress relief everytime I had a bad day. Gonna miss this game as much as I still miss Mobius.

Unfortunately, this game was not available in my region/device. The only Cygames mobile games I can play are World Flipper and Shadowverse.
