Shuttle ST-149 absolutely works that way. The Shielded keyword is just shorthand for "When Played: Give a Shield token to this unit." so just like playing a unit with Ambush and another When Played ability, you can order them to happen in whichever order you want.
Chewbacca turn two is prone to 2 cards that are being run 3 ofs in every blue/black deck. I think your assesment is correct, it gonna be opressive and possible develop the meta to be more soft controlish and ultimately shift Sabine back to a version closer to what we see today
Are you sure indirect damage is dealt by the unit, and triggering Jango leader? The indirect is dealt to a player, who then distributes the damage to units/base
FFG’s Tyler Parrott clarified this in a social media post. Indirect damage that occurs as a result of a unit card is considered to have been damaged by a unit for the purposes of Jango’s ability.
