@@mahidar100 no it is good.. my perspective is different ..ur also correct, I respect that, but I look at it differently.. for me, children should be able to study without parents' intervention ..my both kids do the same, they solve their problems, they take google help for unknown problems, they complete their homework every day, no additional homework, they do play best games, not much mobile operation, they play physical games, they like food.. they have a specific taste on movies, they do not watch all sorts of movies.. same goes to food and drinks.. they are average and simple.. for me, they should not hesitate studies, no stress for exams ..one example, Initial time, they use to struggle to learn Hindi.. many times I noticed feel stressed during Hindi exam time.. so I told them to use google Translate for Hindi practice .. then they write in English and used google translate to Hindi.. now they are doing better in Hindi no stress at all.. I cannot teach any subject, I am not gr8 in studies, it is hard to keep tuition for every subject.. so I make them learn their own.. now they are doing well... my job is to keep them engaged with learning ..

It took a while but RGV finally woke up from his mafia slumber to robots and AI. A concept that goes back at least to 1920 (the play R.U.R by Karel Čapek) if not earlier. Hollywood has been preparing us for this since many decades. As far as I know RGV has never mentioned classics like 2001, Blade Runner and Terminator that grappled with themes of robots and AI, although these films hail from the same timeframe as Godfather and Exorcist that RGV _has_ cited as influences. Strange, and it may explain why ChatGPT came as such a shock to RGV.
More than an assessment of AI, this is interesting as a snapshot of RGV's mind currently. The main takeaway is he thinks ChatGPT makes him redundant because he has always strongly identified with his rational side and his analytical abilities while minimizing or dismissing emotions. Now you have AI that is even more rational and has zero emotions. But I am guessing the average person will not see it the way RGV does. ChatGPT is not going to feel my feelings for me - the aroma of a biryani, the sight of a still lake, flirting with the opposite sex and so on and so forth - all the varied experiences that make up life. RGV just happens to be uniquely placed to be displaced by AI.
Coming to the somewhat hyperbolic statements RGV makes on what ChatGPT portends for the future:
1. Firstly, ChatGPT hallucinates a great deal - that is it makes up stuff, and none of its factual responses can be trusted. This is a limitation of the current state of the art, but people (for example AI21's MRKL system and perhaps others in stealth-mode) are working on it.
2. RGV thinks ChatGPT has nothing to say about current events because it's been deliberately designed to steer clear of them. The truth is the LLM (large language model) is trained once and then only responds from that frozen state of knowledge. It does not dynamically consume new information and keep updating its own configuration. This is again a limitation that will evolve over the next few years.
3. Most experts in any domain are usually dissatisfied with ChatGPT's responses in their domain, so I am surprised to see RGV claims to be impressed with its script suggestions and inputs. Personally I think he's exaggerating, but I may change my mind once I see more of ChatGPT's transcripts.
4. I think RGV's more outlandish fears and speculations apply to the (perhaps mythical) concept of AGI - Artificial General Intelligence - rather than ChatGPT. Ever since computers were invented, this concept of an artificial intelligence that would possess the scope, flexibility and generality of the human mind has been simmering in the heads of science fiction writers, computer scientists and philosophers. Eventually it turned into the project to create AI and more recently AGI. While ChatGPT has absolutely conquered language and syntax (its one true advance in my opinion), its verbose responses show a poor grasp of meaning.

@@RajKusar-rz2mf It's not leniency, just being tentative since there has not been enough time since the advent of ChatGPT to explore every facet. The whole world is playing with it as we speak, we will know more in a few months. I suspect once RGV recovers his composure he will announce a ChatGPT-scripted film, then we can judge how good it is at creative tasks.

@@mahidar100 no it is good.. my perspective is different ..ur also correct, I respect that, but I look at it differently.. for me, children should be able to study without parents' intervention ..my both kids do the same, they solve their problems, they take google help for unknown problems, they complete their homework every day, no additional homework, they do play best games, not much mobile operation, they play physical games, they like food.. they have a specific taste on movies, they do not watch all sorts of movies.. same goes to food and drinks.. they are average and simple.. for me, they should not hesitate studies, no stress for exams ..one example, Initial time, they use to struggle to learn Hindi.. many times I noticed feel stressed during Hindi exam time.. so I told them to use google Translate for Hindi practice .. then they write in English and used google translate to Hindi.. now they are doing better in Hindi no stress at all.. I cannot teach any subject, I am not gr8 in studies, it is hard to keep tuition for every subject.. so I make them learn their own.. now they are doing well... my job is to keep them engaged with learning ..

- Even if chat gpt spits out, blockbuster script, it takes a trained eye, or an expert to interpret it, add or remove details, etc.,
So, experts know where to tweak, not the regular folk who could also prompt the chat gpt for a blockbuster. Ordinary folk can't judge the outcome of their work or, of others. AI adds itself as an ammunition for the professional expert.
- The thing about artists asking for a stake in the AI generated art is incorrect. What makes artists mad at AI art is it "scrapes" from millions of images worldwide, including copyrighted imagery, images which don't have permissions, or limited permissions etc., and generate a unique work. This is a clear legal battle and a valid one. Copyright laws now become even more stringent. We'll rewrite all those again.
- This is not the first time humans invented something 'threatening'. Atom bombs, hydrogen bombs, various other harmful chemicals, etc., are all potentially dangerous.
