For those asking, "what about Stafford Gambit or London Opening?"
Stafford Gambit is my religion.
London Opening is my lifestyle.
i love this guy
No one says "Live, Love, Life" anymore, but rather "London, Stafford, Ponziani"
This is the way
What does that make the Jerome?
Man I love you :D
Eric with 18 seconds left: “I gotta stop looking at chat I’m low on time”
*proceeds to pull up Web page and talk about his next video *
And then Eric with ten seconds left: oh look, there's my mate xD
Me: *blunders queen*
Also me: I guess I'll have to treat this like a gambit
Underrated comment
But it is a Botez gambit
*Botez has entered the chat*
@@cofphin6109 durr rated comment
me all the time😔
C4 was a real "call an ambulance, but FOR me" moment
hahahaha xD
Lives up to it's name
@König Gurke LOL
for ME
So just call an ambulance
“Knights are lined up. There gonna do some weird tik tok dance.” LMAO
I can't stop thinking about knights dancing now
HAHAHAHAH
Eric is a bonafide genius
He said this in another ponziani opening, it was so funny
Bro... he becoming a comedian very slowly
"I only have 18 seconds I should stop looking at chat"..... then proceeds to bring up you tube info covering the chessboard ... There is chill..... chiller...... and the ultimate chill Rosen
I read this comment, and laughed so hard when he did this, I couldn’t believe it. You really got to have some confidence in your bullet game I suppose
4:12 ah yes the famous "time gambit"
Berzerking
That's called thinking
Everyone talking about the Stafford, last time I was this early Eric was still ‘the London guy’ lol
I miss those days
wait until he becomes the ponziani guy
At the end .." Oh! No. My Tea."
Why did I think you were talking about the Stafford
Yeah the Stafford is gonna be jealous, Eric is cheating on him with Ponziani
Ponziani is my favorite opening. Stafford Gambit is my favorite religion.
@@TheFlagMaster. yeah lol
@@eric-rosen Hey Alexa, how do I convert to pgn?
@@eric-rosen ahahah
Eric Rosen on Move 1.378: "This is still prep"
still theory
Actually, I think the longest possible chess game is only 1,100 some odd moves.
Edit: I looked it up and it's nearly 5,900 moves
@@Livestreamlurker Eric Rosen's prep phase: rookie numbers
The end of the video could be called a "Oh no, my tea!"
Every time I see a “I got trapped” title I expect you to say “ I got to watch my time” at least 3 times a video
Hahaha
As soon as I read this comment he said it
Lol ! It’s true
time gambit
Oh No My Stream!
It was definitely interesting to see Eric get a bit confused by a Ponziani variation as it's one of the oldest openings in the book and one of his favourites - it's times like these I realise how much chess is about prep.
"I should focus" followed by "Here's a TH-cam video" with the clock at 18 seconds and ticking down, that's just legendary 😂 Great stuff by Eric!
I thought the Stafford was your favorite
Stafford is his fav with black i think. He hasnt said anything about the reverse Stafford with white
No its London system
@@skalakiss He made a video about the stafford gambit for white
And isn't Stafford a defense anyway?
@@TheJoaovasco Stafford is a gambit which starts out as the Petrov defence.
'Oh no my Egyptian Liquorice'
5:42 "that's a good move!"
Stockfish: "Yeah nah."
17:00 Oh no! Ahhh
Oh no, my tea!
My oponent just played b6 against my ponziani and I remembered this line. Got that cool mate in 2. Feels awesome tbh., great video!
Almost thought Eric got Stafford'd
0:52 is why eric is my favourite chess youtuber
Ponziani sounds like a type of Italian food.
“A bit more sus” - perfect words out of an awesome guy
The subtlety of the thumbnail is killing me, we need you in advertising, Eric
Better actor than Jake Paul no cap
I'm fucking tired of all the perks
no one:
Eric when he has just 18 seconds left: i should probably stop looking at chat. (looking at chat)
16:56 "oh no my tea"
7:50 « i appreciate all the support, all the love.. and especially... THE NOW MATING ATTACK !!! » 🤣
The "Oh no, my tea!"-moment :D
Alexa giving the actual answer to the question asked.
In the end was the "Oh no my tea"-trick. You think the tea is hanging but then comes the coffee with mate in 3.
Eric: blunders
Also Eric: yes so there’s this gambit
“Ok the knights are lined up, they’re gonna do some weird tik tok dance” 🤣🤣🤣
Me with 18 seconds left, blunders pieces left and right.
Eric with 18 seconds left, “I should probably stop looking at chat”, then proceeds to mate opponent with 10 seconds remaining.
ok that was a funny way to end the video! keep it up Eric, loving your videos!
You made me laugh a few times in this video 😂 the ending was hilarious
"How did that laugh?"
"Ok lets play e4"
Oh no! It's the tea box disaster gambit.
I was listening thinking your voice sounds so much better today, then realised the lovely mic upgrade. Nice!
Not since 2150 BCE has Egypt seen such a collapse.
Too soon man. I lost relatives in the civil wars
What happened to the London and Stafford, explain yourself Eric!!!
The ending editing!!! focusing eric the chill one!and oh yes ! oh no my tea!
Eric the iceman. 18 seconds better start watching my time. Hits beast mode.
Ending was quite epic
Wow, I'm watching a month old short clip of your stream. Wish I could watch live
best chess stream out there. Eric, how do we contribute to your stream?
Good recovery!
The anxiety I got when you pulled up a web page with 17 seconds left right after saying you need to focus....
when the camera started zooming i thought my monitor was falling over
He should have captured that pawn on G6 forking the queen and rook.
How can ya not like Eric. He's a cool dude. Good chess player too. I quess even the best get trapped every once in a while ☠️
he moved his pawn up and he thought about that for 5 minutes
Been subscribed for over three years now. Still have to stop by on twitch but will do
Ahah, I love just how this videos are starting and ending.)
Keep up the great content
the real title of this video should have been, "oh no, my tea"
Did Eric just teabag his whole audience?? Egyptian licorice jenga bomb to end the video!
After 6.....g6, Qd4 looks strong. Threatens the knight, the rook indirectly. Qa4+ if d6.... It is quite natural-looking.
Very smart thumbnail there!
At 8:45 queen h7,kf8 ,qh8,bxh8,rookxh8,kg7,rookh7, rook takes queen good for white
Hey ERIC! 1 question. Who was so influential in your life to make you so calm and collected? It's a trait I wish I had and I'm as old as your grandfather.
Instead of Bg5 couldn't you have played Ng4 saving a piece?
Nxg4
@@totalhysteria Ah yes indeed, missed that.
I also was thinking Ng4 seemed fine and also missed Nxg4 in response.
Loved the game. Nice initial defense by opponent!!!
At the end of the clip, I expected to hear "Oh no, my tea!"
Eric blunders the Egyptian Licorice at the end #OhNoMyDahhh
That ending 😆
"There's a funny line... "
Y'all know how that ended
I've taken great interest in the Ponziani after your videos
I reheared that wierd laugh more than 10 times hahahaha
16:12 And this is mate too after the black king moves, Kh6++
Love you Eric
Thank you
16:55 "Oh no my stream!"
You miss a move, you can mate it when you move your queen to h7 because there’s a pawn there lol
King cant go to f7 because there is a pawn
trapped in a trap, relaxed talking. presenting tea-chaos and "aaah"
the knights are lined up... about to do some tiktok dances or something
what a strange ponziani line.. never seen that in any videos or any games
Watch you and then I’m like ok I remember that move and then I try to play my dad and I forget it right when I start 😂
yes yes yes eric uploaded on youtube
Can someone explain why white wouldnt take pain with knight at 8:50, forking queen and rook?
White can play d6 at 03:15, breaking up the pawn structure.
You won. You didn't get trapped.
I was expecting a London but then e4 I’m now confused
heartbreaking.
"Ok 18 seconds left, time to focus"
*immediately promotes new TH-cam video*
Why didn’t he move the pawn to e6 threatening the bishop and eventually his king?
Okk let's focus
How do you know to castle queen side in such a situation..... I think that made the biggest difference
I listened to the laugh 4 times
That tea structure was great but he blundered it
Sir do you have a video in refuting the king's gambit... anti king's gambit for black... thank you sir.. hoping for that video..
Question, instead of pxc3 at 10:39 isn't Qh8 mate? Am I missing something?
Came to the comments to say the same thing... that is mate lol. He even said Qh8 is threatening mate but didn't play it
Edit: wait bishop defends Qh8. Not a mate
@@anchovist qh7 instead
Eric, "okay the knights are lined up, they're gonna do some weird tiktok dance". The more i think about it the funnier it gets
First time subbing. I saw you on Hal3000.
15:06 why no Queen d4(idea is attacking the rook). Can somebody help?
Great Tea-wrecks ending!
*cries in Stafford*
I'm a very new player and low rank so go easy but can someone tell me why move 24-be7 is a bad move
Oh no, my knight!
Oh wait... FOR REAL OH NO MY KNIGHT!!!
Is queen to f4 an appropriate response ? (beginner)
