Cap I just bought the 190 on Autumn sale and now you're making tutorials for it, it's like you're reading my mind! Thanks for the videos. Much more importantly, it's very inspiring to see you've kept that tough British fighting spirit and are still kicking ass! You've been to hell and back and smacked the shit out of a few demons on the way.
You can ignore cooler flaps and all that other stuff. In German WW2 planes its all done automatically. You just need to pay attention to your boost time aka MW50 usage. I have not managed to brake my engine in recent times. Whats really nice about the 190 in DCS is, that it can sustain its MW50 powered boost longer than the Mustang can sustain its highest performance settings, so on the deck it will outrun a Stang slowly but surely. Same against the Spit but there its more pronounced. Just keep it fast and reasonably high and youre almost invulnerable. Allied planes right now cant do anything against Germans in MP if Germans fly correctly. Everything Allies have needs way more attention (has more workload for the pilot) and is slower at altitudes usally used for combat (0-5k meters ca). VERY high up the Mustang is better but still not as fast as a K4 with MW50. And yes, the Stang should be faster in game but it isnt. There is a thread on the forums with YoYo "admitting" that. He said that since the introduction of the Stang in 2012 it actually got slower since the engine right now works differently (calculates drag etc differently). TLDR: Germans in MP can do everything they want.
U.S aircraft flyiers tend to take way too much fuel in the mustang which dramatically reduces its turning ability and increases the stall speed, I was a demon in the spitfire when it first came out, with work load honestly if you initially set the aircraft up correctly you only have to glance at the guages.
@@ThatGuysProject When you were good with the spit, that meant that the K4/Dora pilots were bad. As I said, if Germans fly correctly nothing can touch them rn.
Tried endlessly to get Dora to take off, but to no avail with only very limited success. Taxiing and start up procedures are fine. When I initially started with the Dora, the real version that is without flight assistance, tutorials etc, I mastered the art of taking off, sank a few Mustangs and even landed it and got a flight lieutenants promotion, for what that's worth, within a couple of hours of making the purchase at 50% off so I can't complain. It seemed like a brilliant module, well worth the effort. However, after carrying out a repair on DCS and an update, I can no longer get the Dora off the ground no matter what I do. I've spent hours trying, but to no avail. Endless smash ups. I've got worse not better. So, rather than delude myself anymore with the Dora, I've erased it from my modules. Total nightmare. The F86F Sabre purchase, however, has been a completely different story. Very easy and really enjoyable as a module along with the Gazelle and the Mig15bis. I've given up with the Dora. I just can't get the hang of it. Rgds MCG.
Found the source of my take-off woes, or rather maybe found it. I went into my Logitech file and located the profile section. It looks as though my FSX profile was being used for Joystick control as a precedent not just whilst using DCS World, but with any other simulator I could have on my system for which I could be using the Logitech Joystick. I have now altered this so that this is no longer the case. Strangely enough now, whilst using the Dora, the real version that is, the aircraft now takes off consistently and easily with non of the problems which have previously beset me whilst using the Dora with the Logitech. The aircraft literally lifts itself off the ground with no effort required and seems a lot more stable during the run up to take off. It's embarassingly easy, so maybe that was part of the problem all along, as well as me being a crap sim pilot, so no excuses. Next for me is the Kurfurst. Rgds MCG
Here's a trick. Use the turn indicator (stick on the top of the attitude indicator) so you can see when you're actually going straight, then pull the stick back to lock the tail wheel. If you try to lock it in a turn it'll stick in that turn and you'll have a bad time. The P-51's tailwheel is far more forgiving in that respect, it seems to lock when it passes through center. (Not sure how accurate either depiction is, but that's how our models in DCS work.) And I suspect that turn indicator trick wouldn't work IRL either as there's some lag from real-world turn indicators that doesn't seem to be modeled in DCS's turn indicators.
What is the setting for the wheel of the Fw 190 Dora... I have a problem to find the setting for the back gear for ground taxiing... how does it name in DCS?
Good choice... I absolutely adore the D-9 in DCS. Now all you need to do is get rid of that butt-ugly USAAF paintjob... :P
Same thought lol.

Hi Spicy, what you mean for "Stang"? ( You can write in italian too :-D )
@@tonykeith76 Mustang, the P51.
I cant speak Italian though :)
Now that I can take Dora off I just have one question.... who's Roger.
just an old buddy
Nice flying, Cap.. Best, Pete.

You probably should have mentioned MW-50 in there somewhere.
thx
Why is the thumbnail not a Dora FW? D:
mSkull I was just thinking the same. Lol
Maybe because the Anton is better looking :)
James Henderson false, the d9 is sexy as fck
Screw that tail wheel. That thing is a pain. I think I'll keep it locked and use the braking alone. It still turns well enough, just less violently.
Cap if you release your stick some the back wheel will help you turn.
Nice for formation flying
Just started mastering the 190D-9, so far really enjoy it. Much prefer the DCS version to IL-2, as the flight model is so much better IMHO.
What buttons do you press to use each brake please?
Using toe brakes on his rudder pedals i imagine
What is the purpose of the allie plane names and numbers in the cockpit? Maybe codes for calling out planes?
That shows the wingspan of each plane, so you can set your gun sight up.
@@grimreapers Interesting, cheers for the response!

If you guys had made this video one day before I had buyed the 190 in the winter sale...:D
When I fly, it starts to roll to the left or right.. Is it the turbulence or? What am I doing wrong? Maybe hitting the throttle too fast?
It's the torque of the motor. Very hard to over-come.
@@grimreapers ok, so in this regard, which one is easier to fly? FW D9 or FW F8? I ask because there will be a discount on modules.
But are you using 100% Takeoff Assist?
190 A/F on the thumbnail
Literally unwatchable.
this plane is fully unflyable idk how yall took off
It's just one of those things, once you master it it's easy.
Easy.? Nothing is easy on the Dora... taxing.. No.... Start... No Landing... Of cause no.. But when the plane flies it is OK.
hmmm.... I ask for 190 videos and I GET 190 VIDEOS. DO I HAVE THE POWER? *buys more DLC*
You fly the plane. It. Not HER.
This plane model is the worst crap to taxi and tke off, well done DCS to fuck another dreat legend up...a Waist of money on that bullshit
