Okay picked it up after this review on switch and it's horrible...ly addicting! This is a nice roguelike twist and very fun if you like mining games. Mining/Tower Defense/roguelike is a genre I didn't know I needed til now, this is well done
Agree that this is very reminiscent of Dome Keeper. Also agree that that's not a bad thing - Clones are bad, but variation is rad, and this is clearly its own carefully thought out experience. I ALSO agree, I think this one is more personally compelling than Dome Keeper, but they're both great games from what I've seen.
Thanks for a great review of the game. I just stumbled upon Wall World in the "Coming Soon" section of the Nintendo Switch eShop this morning and was sold on the idea immediately! Great artwork, super cool setting, and I love the intrigue that comes with being able to explore the wall's inner depths or traveling up or down. Thanks again and all the best with your channel!
For sure. I didn’t end up getting wall world and I do like it but I have mixed feelings. I feel like I’m always in a big hurry to be mining to get back and protect my ship of the next alien wave. I have mixed feelings about that because I like taking my time and exploring and not feeling rushed but I get the appeal. I upgraded a few things and I’m going to put more time in it.
This is indie gaming at its finest. A quirky game that just attracts you with its concept and gameplay. And I do have a soft spot for roguelikes.
