T'boli Dance

These dances involve shuffling steps and swooping movements of the arms and hands. It was performed during the Philippine Festival Barrio Fiesta by the students of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies Philippine Dance Troupe last September 28-29, 2013 at Yamashita Park, Yokohama City, Japan.
Tboli known as Tiboli are among the indigenous peoples of SOCCSKSARGEN.
Some sources, they term T'boli from the word "Tau-bili". Tau means "small human creature and "bili" means "fruit of the wild vine".

taga Lake Sebu South Cotabato ako....place of t'boli tribe..dati sa school namin sumasayaw din kme nyan...hindi aku t'boli pero parang hindi t'boli dance ehh...OR baka mali lang aku ksi ang t'boli dance maraming related story..i think its Madal Tahaw yan "a bird dance"

I know for one thing that the T'boli and B'laan tribes have similarities in clothing (like the tubular scarf worn on their neck) but are still distinctly different. This dance looks more of a B'laan than T'boli in my opinion but I'm not a T'boli so i can't say much for their part. Nevertheless, they tried to share a culture of the *minority* tribe in Mindanao Philippines (than any "Pinoy" probably would) so I can at least respect them for their effort :"D

they danced beautifully but, it's not a Tboli Dance.. the footwork is so diff. from the original dance..I think it's more of a Blaan Dance.. (another Tribe here in the Phil.) :) and the Tbolis don't do the butt and the hand thing.... :) nice presentation though..

sa generation ngayon halos wala ng taong nag kakaroon ng interes sa mga sayaw na folkdance so, mahirap na pong isayaw or ikalat itong mga ito ... just saying

Maybe the dancers not t'boli or blaan..i saw it before while holy infant school of malungon dancing t'boli and blaan dance..they did incorrect steps..
