The LA girl lip liners (the ones you sharpen) are a great dupe for the Mac ones. I love their mix in mediums- the blue and the white- now I estimate too dark for foundation bc the white mix in medium doesn’t change the texture and the blue makes the foundation less orange. Game changer
Lately, I have realized how much I'm loving Wet n Wild! The only concealer I own is their Incognito concealer, and I love their Photo Focus dewy foundation. I'm surprised at how often I reach for one of their brushes! The brand that I have the most products from across the board is ELF. I even love their Lash Out Loud mascara, many face products and skincare!
Maybelline has great concealers. They have the Fit Me line. The BB cream. Wet and wild has great face products with a photo focus foundation and the tinted hydrator. They also have great primers and primer options. Wet and wild has some great bronzers. Milani has amazing blushes and bronzers! Flower has the lipsticks and celestial primer. I think very few have just one thing they do well. Need to cover Revlon, essence, catrice, Rimmel, Neutrogena, physicians formula, makeup revolution
Absolutely loved this video n idea. I bet a lot of beauty TH-camrs are going to borrow this idea for future videos. I couldn’t have agreed w you more on all of these. L’Oréal kills it in complexion, lip, & mascara for sure!! I think they’re my fav drugstore brand quality wise. They feel luxe most of the time but they’re getting pretty pricey too. My second fav is e.l.f. They kill it with the price n quality. Can’t beat it. Have you tried the Triple Serum Foundation from No7? I LOVE it!! I'm also a bit older than you (47), and it's good for mature skin. The finish is beautiful! I agree about the powder, too. I hope they aren't going away!!
I was agreeing with you on everything and then immediately subscribed as soon as you said Flower can’t do a foundation! I think their concealer is overrated too, I thought it was so dry and crepey! What do you think about elf’s foundations? Flawless Satin looks good but I can’t stomach that smell. Lastly, I actually think Covergirl’s pressed powders are highly underrated. An accident broke my No7 and I quickly picked up the Clean Pressed at CVS with their coupons last week… and I liked it more! The Clean Fresh Powder is also nice if you don’t mind some slight radiance from the mica in it.
Elf foundations are very hidden mess for me, but mostly miss unfortunately. I like that clean fresh powder to, I didn’t at first but it definitely grew on me!
Wet n wild mega length mascara has a very small brush and I love it for my lower lashes. Maybelline the falsies push up angel mascara has a comb instead of a thick brush and I love it . Great video ,got me to thinking about things I want to try from other brands...
Milani and Revlon both do great blushes...Milani the baked blushes and Revlon has a line of blushes which Apricute is one of that is very good. There are 2 brands that are "drugstore" priced but are not available in a store that I would love to see you review and those are Moira and SheGlam. They both have some awesome products...Moira's new cream blushes are amazing and SheGlam has some great liquid blushes. I totally agree that L'Oreal has blown it out of the park with some of their foundations and lip products. I've really been enjoying the Serum foundation.
I agree with you on L’Oréal and their mascaras and Maybelline with their matte lipsticks (long lasting and the cover the inner wet part of my mouth the longest). I disagree on the NYX foundations. Their matte can’t stop won’t stop foundation has an incredible finish for my oily skin. The Born to Glow which I feel like they are discontinuing or haven’t seen in many drugstores lately is also a fave for me in the winter months. Thanks for the informative video!

For me, Essence does the best lip liners, and Catrice the best foundations and powders. I also love their eyeshadows (but not all. Mostly the ones from their Disney collabs)
Thanks for that bit of info about Walgreen's and No7. I use their Lift and Luminate finishing powder to set my under eyes. I haven't hit pan on it yet but Taylor's right. It's like Target is taking their products out one by one. When I find something that works I rather stay using it than trying something else because it could be a total fail. Hi! I love Maybelline mascara. It works great for me. And I’d agree with your Wet n Wild choices. I’d add the Megaglo stick blushes though. They are so pretty. Yes, they are. I would love to try the marshmallow primer but I refuse to pay that kind of money for it, lol. The only things I buy from them are their eyeliners and butter gloss but I don't have too many of ea. They really need to drop those prices because they're heading towards mid range pricing imo... 🤷♀️

Wet N Wild has good eyeshadows, foundation, concealer, blushes, highlighters, love their contour/bronzer/blush/highlighter sticks. Their mascara from their Save By the Bell collection was surprisingly good. I reach for it a lot. Nyx has good foundation + concealer + powder from their Can't Stop Won't Stop line, eyebrow products. Elf has great brushes. Loved their putty blushes but they mine seems to have dried out? Same with their putty bronzers. I mean I can get them to work but they aren't putty like anymore like the primer is. However their cream contour/blush palette hasn't dried out. I like ELF's bb cream foundation and their camo creamy concealer line is great. Their HD powders are good too. Milani and L'oreal are solid. They both feel like luxury for being drugstore brands. Totally agree on no. 7 products their powder products are great.
Loreal's Infallible single shadows are stunning, have you tried those? The formula is amazing! Cover Girl does have a powder highlighter that's amazing Endless Pearl from the stunner line Risa raves about it. Nyx had a beautiful serum foundation Bare with Me was awesome and I can't imagine why!! No 7 lift and luminate foundation is awesome, their concealer is nice too, they're both serum. Elf's Lash Beats is a great mascara. Flower Beauty lipsticks Perfect Pout are great their new chrome crush shadows are stunning!
I felt the same way about covergirl and highlighters until the true blend super stunner - that one is magical - no glitter or weird sitting on the skin. Total surprise from this brand to me. Thank you for the fun video! 🧡👍🧡👍
I love all Loreal foundations. One of my best friend works for the corporation that supplies all the makeup, facial care products and fragrances to duty-free stores in all airports including international airports. L’Oreal is made by the same company that makes Lancome. I also love NYX for eyebrows, primer, setting spray and eyeliners with the roll up tip. Wet and Wild makes a great lipliner, but color choices are limited.

Like others mentioned, No 7 is available at Walgreens and they usually have discounts. I recently bought a powder and a hand cream with a BOGO 50% + extra 20% off.
U forget to mention Loreal pro matt foundation.it is the best foundation in the world.its looks beautiful in pictures as well.best for combination n dry skin
I agree with several of your choices - only because I have not tried them all. I would like to add that NYX makes the best liquid eyeliner (IMO). BTW, I love your eyeshadow, please share what it is.
Bests imo : Revlon: lips, loreal : mascara, maybelline : the entire fit me line is queen at the drug store for base, rimmel : pencil liners and mattifiers, covergirl: they aren't the best in any category but if I had to pick one I would say they do best in no makeup makeup/clean makeup (they're lip balms and the clean mascara is nice), milani : they make the only drugstore eye primer worth mentioning so I'd say that but they are an all rounder, elf : primers (I would also say brushes/tools but real techniques outranks them by far) nyx : brows, physicians formula : blush/bronzer, essence : eyeliners but also lippies could be an answer, catrice: foundation/concealer, hard candy : glitter, wet n wild : another all rounder but I think I'd pick eyeshadow if for no other reason that drugstore eyeshadow tends to be awful and theirs is pretty good I can't do a worst list cause I'm too nice lol

I agree with you on this list.. and I just have to say while I do think nyx has gotten pricey, I have fallen in LOVE with their bare with me concealer. I never like concealers bc I've got all the lines and puffy bags but this has actually become my first holy grail item. Lol One other item I haven't heard anyone mention is the "Maybelline instant age rewind Perfector 4-in-1 whipped matte make up". It's in a pink squeeze bottle and it has become my go to everyday foundation. I wish someone would talk about it. It is amazing!👏 Definitely Holy Grail status! 😍
I went and purchased the Milani lip oils and didn't find they were any different from their old lip oils. I still love them, but other than packaging, I find they're identical.
I love and have all these you mentioned. AkA been watching for years 🤣 While I’m watching, I’m playing in makeup. I can’t wait for Monday because I’m bored and did my Selfcare last week. I’m starting to like Believe Beauty @ Dollar General. Their Nail Polish strips is in my favorite for March/April. It lasted longer than 2 weeks 🤯 what 3 months I love this Window Paint art on my fingers and I’d polish my other nails ( it doesn’t come off ) although it said take off with remover 🤣 TFS Maven. I don’t disagree to anything. 💓👑✌️
First of all... Your lips always look beautiful! I would have to disagree with you on Wet n Wilds mascaras. They had the best one in a purple tube (I can't recall the name of it) that I used for a decade. It separated and elongated my lashes perfectly, (I hate clumps) but they discontinued it. I also liked their Megaslim Skinny Mascara (waterproof version), but they discontinued that one also. Their Megawear mascara in the aqua tube works pretty well, but my fav right now is Maybellines Lash Sensational. I prefer to see you actually applying the products as you talk about them.
Can you do a video where you pick each area of makeup and of all the brands if you could only choose one what would it be? Do you know what I mean? If I had to buy a whole set of makeup what would you choose in a makeup kit. Not for a beginner but for someone who likes it all.
Omg friend!! My mouth fell open so big. Haha Flower Beauty Light Illusion is my Holy grail! I get compliments on my skin every time. Okay, I’m going to beg you to try again but to prime with an oil primer like the one from NYX or ELF, and apply with a foundation brush, really stippling it on. It’s the most beautiful finish ever. I know not every product works for everyone, but omg that one is impossible to beat for me.
I completely agree with the wet n wild and elf tools. Also their little 4 and 5 pan palettes. Both brands. The Elf Camo CC cream is by far my favorite full coverage foundation. It stays for hours and doesn't break down like so many others. I also agree 💯 on the NYX foundations. I remember trying the Can't Stop Won't Stop and being so disappointed! Like what? This is terrible. Love the No. 7 powders. They work the best on my nature skin. Our target has pulled them as well and I'm slightly panicking. Not gonna lie. I have not tried 1 lip product from L'Oreal. Every time I watch you, I tell myself to go buy some! But then when I'm at the store, I completely forget! I need to try them
I like every foundation,concealer, mascara and lipsticks from L'Oreal, mascara , lipliners, lipgloses,primers and powders from Maybelline. Cratrice and Essence have beautiful complexion products lipgloses , mascaras , liners,blushes,highlighters etc., Nyx have also good complexion products ( i really love Born this Way foundation) liners, eyebrow pencils, lipsticks etc. The other brands you mentioned are hard to get in Europe , i will try some products from wet n wild in the future because are on Amazon.
You forgot to mention Maybelline fit me matte & poreless foundation and powder ! They are pretty good OG products and my favorite drugstore base foundation.
Maybelline Fit me Matte is the all time OG best. I bought the Flower beauty get real serum foundation (thought it’d be better for no-makeup makeup days and lighter than Fit Me but now I’m scurred 😝). I think Kelly Gooch recommended that one (but no one else ever talks about it 🤷🏻♀️).
L’Oreal lipstick could pass for high end. Maybeliine and Milani have some of my favorite lip products as well. I don’t like CoverGirl lip products. The Walgreens stores in my area carry No. 7. You could probably get it on line from them if you don’t have Walgreens or at least Walgreens that doesn’t have it in store.
In my opinion the best primer is Elf Jelly Pop and Hard Candy Hydrating, best powder Wet n wild translucent loose, concealer nyx cant stop, contour milani silky matte best setting spray nyx matte .
Drugstore foundations/base products are usually a miss for me as most are not light enough or the right undertone. I'm a very fair neutral leaning warm olive. Loreal lipsticks/lip products are always amazing in texture and color but I dislike when they have the floral scent. It tastes horrible and doesn't go away. I used to love milani eyeshadows before they reformulated. The new formula is way too powdery and just blends away to nothing. I love their baked blushes and most of their lip products. I'm also really happy they are re releasing their eyeshadow crayons but they need to make them permanent. I like covergirl mascaras but nothing else from them works for me. Wet n wild is hit or miss for me. They keep reformulating their powder products and I liked the previous formulations much better.

Loreal's Infallible single shadows are stunning, have you tried those? The formula is amazing! Cover Girl does have a powder highlighter that's amazing Endless Pearl from the stunner line Risa raves about it. Nyx had a beautiful serum foundation Bare with Me was awesome and I can't imagine why!! No 7 lift and luminate foundation is awesome, their concealer is nice too, they're both serum. Elf's Lash Beats is a great mascara. Flower Beauty lipsticks Perfect Pout are great their new chrome crush shadows are stunning!

I love all Loreal foundations. One of my best friend works for the corporation that supplies all the makeup, facial care products and fragrances to duty-free stores in all airports including international airports. L’Oreal is made by the same company that makes Lancome. I also love NYX for eyebrows, primer, setting spray and eyeliners with the roll up tip. Wet and Wild makes a great lipliner, but color choices are limited.
That Covergirl is my favorite daily foundation…I save my high end for going out lol

Like others mentioned, No 7 is available at Walgreens and they usually have discounts. I recently bought a powder and a hand cream with a BOGO 50% + extra 20% off.

I agree with several of your choices - only because I have not tried them all. I would like to add that NYX makes the best liquid eyeliner (IMO). BTW, I love your eyeshadow, please share what it is.
Covergirl milk foundation is awesome, especially for dressing. I've got so many compliments on it
And their Setting Powder & concealer!! 🤯🔥 Combo! Their Blush/highlighters are okay I could’ve did without.
Bests imo :
Revlon: lips, loreal : mascara, maybelline : the entire fit me line is queen at the drug store for base, rimmel : pencil liners and mattifiers, covergirl: they aren't the best in any category but if I had to pick one I would say they do best in no makeup makeup/clean makeup (they're lip balms and the clean mascara is nice), milani : they make the only drugstore eye primer worth mentioning so I'd say that but they are an all rounder, elf : primers (I would also say brushes/tools but real techniques outranks them by far) nyx : brows, physicians formula : blush/bronzer, essence : eyeliners but also lippies could be an answer, catrice: foundation/concealer, hard candy : glitter, wet n wild : another all rounder but I think I'd pick eyeshadow if for no other reason that drugstore eyeshadow tends to be awful and theirs is pretty good

I agree with you on this list.. and I just have to say while I do think nyx has gotten pricey, I have fallen in LOVE with their bare with me concealer. I never like concealers bc I've got all the lines and puffy bags but this has actually become my first holy grail item. Lol One other item I haven't heard anyone mention is the "Maybelline instant age rewind Perfector 4-in-1 whipped matte make up". It's in a pink squeeze bottle and it has become my go to everyday foundation. I wish someone would talk about it. It is amazing!👏 Definitely Holy Grail status! 😍

For wet n wild I think the the category that they aren't Great at is mascara well the ones I tried anyways but they do lot of great other products
I went and purchased the Milani lip oils and didn't find they were any different from their old lip oils. I still love them, but other than packaging, I find they're identical.

I’m starting to like Believe Beauty @ Dollar General. Their Nail Polish strips is in my favorite for March/April. It lasted longer than 2 weeks 🤯 what 3 months I love this Window Paint art on my fingers and I’d polish my other nails ( it doesn’t come off ) although it said take off with remover 🤣

I would have to disagree with you on Wet n Wilds mascaras. They had the best one in a purple tube (I can't recall the name of it) that I used for a decade. It separated and elongated my lashes perfectly, (I hate clumps) but they discontinued it. I also liked their Megaslim Skinny Mascara (waterproof version), but they discontinued that one also. Their Megawear mascara in the aqua tube works pretty well, but my fav right now is Maybellines Lash Sensational.
I prefer to see you actually applying the products as you talk about them.
Walgreens has No7 in store. It’s where I go to get my powder.

Omg friend!! My mouth fell open so big. Haha Flower Beauty Light Illusion is my Holy grail! I get compliments on my skin every time. Okay, I’m going to beg you to try again but to prime with an oil primer like the one from NYX or ELF, and apply with a foundation brush, really stippling it on. It’s the most beautiful finish ever. I know not every product works for everyone, but omg that one is impossible to beat for me.
A lot of people love it, so I’m not surprised! Maybe I’ll give it another shot!
I completely agree with the wet n wild and elf tools. Also their little 4 and 5 pan palettes. Both brands. The Elf Camo CC cream is by far my favorite full coverage foundation. It stays for hours and doesn't break down like so many others. I also agree 💯 on the NYX foundations. I remember trying the Can't Stop Won't Stop and being so disappointed! Like what? This is terrible. Love the No. 7 powders. They work the best on my nature skin. Our target has pulled them as well and I'm slightly panicking. Not gonna lie. I have not tried 1 lip product from L'Oreal. Every time I watch you, I tell myself to go buy some! But then when I'm at the store, I completely forget! I need to try them
I like every foundation,concealer, mascara and lipsticks from L'Oreal, mascara , lipliners, lipgloses,primers and powders from Maybelline. Cratrice and Essence have beautiful complexion products lipgloses , mascaras , liners,blushes,highlighters etc., Nyx have also good complexion products ( i really love Born this Way foundation) liners, eyebrow pencils, lipsticks etc. The other brands you mentioned are hard to get in Europe , i will try some products from wet n wild in the future because are on Amazon.
You forgot to mention Maybelline fit me matte & poreless foundation and powder ! They are pretty good OG products and my favorite drugstore base foundation.

Maybelline Fit me Matte is the all time OG best. I bought the Flower beauty get real serum foundation (thought it’d be better for no-makeup makeup days and lighter than Fit Me but now I’m scurred 😝). I think Kelly Gooch recommended that one (but no one else ever talks about it 🤷🏻♀️).
L’Oreal lipstick could pass for high end. Maybeliine and Milani have some of my favorite lip products as well. I don’t like CoverGirl lip products. The Walgreens stores in my area carry No. 7. You could probably get it on line from them if you don’t have Walgreens or at least Walgreens that doesn’t have it in store.

In my opinion the best primer is Elf Jelly Pop and Hard Candy Hydrating, best powder Wet n wild translucent loose, concealer nyx cant stop, contour milani silky matte best setting spray nyx matte .

Drugstore foundations/base products are usually a miss for me as most are not light enough or the right undertone. I'm a very fair neutral leaning warm olive.
Loreal lipsticks/lip products are always amazing in texture and color but I dislike when they have the floral scent. It tastes horrible and doesn't go away.
I used to love milani eyeshadows before they reformulated. The new formula is way too powdery and just blends away to nothing. I love their baked blushes and most of their lip products. I'm also really happy they are re releasing their eyeshadow crayons but they need to make them permanent.
I like covergirl mascaras but nothing else from them works for me.
Wet n wild is hit or miss for me. They keep reformulating their powder products and I liked the previous formulations much better.
