This was such a fun, experimental listen for me. Please let me know what else I should listen to from Stray Kids so I can hear more of their variety! 😊
Stray Kids are the future of KPop with their unique sound across genres. More hard hitting than what you have listened to are the songs Venom and Freeze with beautiful ballads Taste, Slump and a song from Felix the one with the deep voice called Deep End. Also Red Lights and a song from leader Bang Chan a more pop dance song called Connected.
I hope u could listen to their english ver songs (Domino, Top, Slump, Scars, Double Knot), Super Bowl, and Youtiful? The lyrics of their songs have wonderful meanings!
I think one of the best things about stray kids is that they view their music as a playground! They just try to have as much fun as possible while remaining as genuine as they can. Actually, they compare their creative process to cooking in multiple tracks, saying that they combine elements to create new flavors. I think thats a perfect way to describe them. They just love mixing it up and trying new combinations of "flavors." They are true disruptors and innovators.
The greatest thing about SKZ (in my opinion) is you're never bored by a song. They always keep you guessing, and they're just so creative with sound. I really hope you react to more from them. If you really want experimental try "Side Effects". As for slower/softer songs "The View" "Ex" "Levanter" "Scars" and "Slump" are excellent!
Oh I love "The View," it does such a great job being in a lot of ways a much "softer" song than something like God's Menu, but it's still got that SKZ energetic quality too.
@@TheBexrayspex yeah... something about Changbin's part always brings tears to my eyes. You can just hear the passion in his voice. I always thought "The View" would be excellent as an OST
Also love secret secret, red lights, taste, those are all good shower songs! Scars is one of my favorites. But for the most part they love the fast, in your face style. They can't go wrong, best boy kpop group!
Stray Kids is even known for invented their own genre of music called "mala-tang". Like they have mala-tasting flavor in their music. One moment you will have the EDM, then you might have rock, then they might swtich it up completely to slower songs, and then do another 180 to hiphop and rap. It is noted that they have covered over 40+ genres of music from fast to slow. And they've been doing it from scratch all by themselves since they debuted in 2018.
If you want to hear softer songs... Well they just released an all English song on the new 5 Star album that just dropped. It is called "Youtiful"... meaning "You are beautiful." They wrote it to their fans (Stays). I casn also recommend "Secret Secret", "Sorry, I love you", "Levanter" and "#LoveStay". I would also recommend the song "Slump" SPECIFICALLY from The First Take channel. It has clearer vocals and is truly beautifully done. (All 5 songs that Stray Kids have on The First Take are actually aweome versions that Stays listen to as much as the MVs. 😂)
I just learned about stray kids like 2 weeks ago and youtiful almost made me cry (music never does). Might be cause it is Chans song and it has him written all over it and I might have a soft spot for a certain Aussie.
Omgggg no wayyyy!!!! Stopp i love both you and skz this is crazy! Also they are self produced as well and just came out with their new album 5-star and as of today it broke the record for the most pre ordered kpop albums in history with five million preorders!
@@ShelbyShuffleMode of course! Oh and btw they have over 140 genres in their discography, so if you want any recommendations for certain genres then I can give you atleast ten songs that’s fit with said genre!
Well you certainly timed this well lol. Stray Kids are very very diverse but their main tracks do tend to be heavy lol. Their new album is amazing though, highly recommend! If you're looking for less edgy songs from them that are older though I recommend OH, Astronaut, Lonely St, Get Cool, Star Lost, and The View (as starters haha). Also their SKZ: Replay album has a solo from each member and it's extremely diverse.
I do hope that you listen to more of Stray Kids. They just dropped an album called 5 Star at midnight last night (US EST). They also released a video for S-Class. The video hit a million views in under 35 minutes. Also, the album did 5.13 million copies in pre-order sales, setting a K-pop record. Stray Kids tries to make music for everyone... so they have about 175 songs that use over 40 genres including a genre created by them called mala taste. They are self produced, they arrrange, compose, write lyrics and so much more for each song. They have a huge amount of creative control over their sound and what they do. Another fun fact is that JYPE did not put this group together... He let the leader of the group (Bang Chan) pick his own members. JYP talks about how it was the first time it happened in the company. He did have them do a survival show to see if they could all debut together, but it wasn't the typical survival show.
Great reaction! :) Stray Kids are well known for their edgy title tracks. That's their sound. However, since they produce their own songs, they love to experiment with different sounds and genres and still make it sound "Stray Kids". Each album contains a multitude of genres, many of which you will not find often in K-pop. If I were to recommend some, I feel like the ones that show their diversity the best are Levanter, Red Lights, Slump (check out their performance of the song on 1st take! I cannot recommend this song enough, it's amazing), Get cool, Mixtape:OH, Chronosaurus, Silent cry, Surfin', Gone away, Secret secret, Easy, Blueprint, Phobia, Taste, Mixtape:Time Out. The following recommendations are still leaning towards the edgy side, but they are such good songs that bring new things to the table: Side effects (I believe its the first psytrance title track in kpop), Miroh (very EDM), Venom (no words can describe this track), Awaken (rock), District 9 (their debut), Hellevator (EDM- predebut song), Muddy water (a boom bap- rap track), Charmer, Cheese, Domino etc. Their most experimental songs are, in my opinion, The tortoise and the hare, 3rd eye and Wolfgang. Those who get them, get them 😂
Love Stray Kids. They are multitalented artists who have developed their own genre and consistently produce amazing songs. They have a large discography and get inspiration from all styles of music. I recommend you read the lyrics because Stray Kids always put a lot of thought into what they write. I hope you choose to listen to some more songs by them and learn a bit more, there is a lot to discover. They are also extremely nice people with amazing work ethic. I recommend Venom, Secret Secret and Slump next (to give some other examples of songs they wrote).
I would highly recommend looking at Levanter, Secret Secret, Chronosaurus, Grow up, Awkward SIlence, Get Cool. There are not many songs that aren't great. I would also highly recommend checking out their music videos for all of these songs!
Loved your reaction! These five songs are definitely hard hitting but they have such a variety (& since they’re SO talented, writing + producing the vast majority of their songs) that you will find slower, sexier, and also more traditional “k-poppy” songs. For slower/sexier, I definitely recommend Red Lights and Taste. 🔥

You need to listen to their new album 5 star!! Also they're incredible performers so I think you'd enjoy watching some music show or awards shows performances. Oh also no, they don't always sound like this, they try out so many different genres and try to put their own spin to them, these are just the title tracks that are their signature sound. They have brighter tracks like blueprint, more r&b tracks like 19, darker tracks like red lights and sad tracks like secret secret! Hope you'll fall down the skz rabbit hole tbh smdnfh
I love this video, thank you so much ♡ I hope you check out more of them, they're such an amazing group. I highly recommend checking out their new album, it's incredible. It captures their musical identity perfectly while also bringing new nuances and experimental elements. As for suggestions of slower songs to showcase other aspects of their sound, I recommend: Red Lights, Voices, Taste, Secret Secret, Venom, DLMLU, Love Stay, and Deep End (this one is actually a solo song by Felix, the guy with the deep voice, but it's included in the group's album, and it's so beautiful. I really recommend it as it showcases his unique vocal range in different tones).
omgg u should definitely listen to their new album 5 star, it’s absolutely amazing!! and they have calm/slow songs, like secret secret, the view, love stay, miss you (hyunjin), hug me (i.n) and youtiful 🫶🏼
Plus theyre just title track. Album wise, their songs are balanced and full of versatility. So not only do they mash up genres in ONE song, they have numerous genres in general. Their songs are best for people like me with short span of attention 😂 coz then the dynamic song keeps me interested rather that sounding repetitive of verse chorus, some bridge and chorus again
I love your description of “more is more”… SKZ going through a maximalist phase where their title tracks are epic and full of ear and eye candy (see the newest MVs). But they have slow ballads too as palette cleansers. Definitely not a one dimensional group! I used to think they were noisy when I first heard them but I got addicted to their mala-taste genre (kinda like how people get addicted to spicy food!)
I’d recommend if u want more skz songs is circus, or domino. If u want more of felix’s voice (the deep ass voice lower than the ocean) than listen to his own song deep end. Beautiful, emotional, shocking song because it sounds like 3 different voice at the same time made by only 1 person. Also I’d recommend looking at their music vids because they’re as good if not even better than the audio it’s self
Check out their ballads and sadder songs sometime--songs like Lonely St, Sorry I Love You, Secret Secret, Gone Away. Also different upbeat-ish/other tracks like Star Lost, Side-Effects, Wolfgang, Red Lights, Taste. They have a lot of flavors.
This IS the common theme for Stray Kids' music. But there are def a lot of slower songs. Like Lost me or Neverending story, or even Phobia if I dare say
Thank you, your reaction is amazing! Stray Kids is self-produced group and that's what makes them unique and special. I recommend you to listen to their new released music S-Class, the whole album 5-Star, and also Felix's (the guy with deep voice) - Deep end
Other people have already recommended slower/softer songs, but ofcourse i will too 😍 They actually have a lot of slower songs, theyre normally b-sides though. But some I recommended are secret secret (my favourite), grow up, youtiful, never-ending story and ex 👍👍
i hope u can listen to more of their songs🫶🏻 their top 5 are definitely louder more edgier songs but they definitely have beautiful soft songs that are SO good, they’ve done over 40+ genres and make their own music so each song is VERY different! :)
The mv’s really make more sense of the songs (which of course is the case for lots of groups), & SKZ are among the most creative with their mv’s too. Obviously that’s not at all what you do with this channel, but maybe check one or two out on your free time 😂
I would like to recommend listening to one of their albums in full to hear what exactly they can do. Their title tracks tend to feel a bit one-note in the sense that they're all very high energy, but a lot of B-sides are very different from that. My recommended mini would be Clé 1 : Miroh (2019), it's a bit older but all of the songs are great.
Idk if ive ever seen someone react to Stray Kids music for the first time without watching their MVs! I got tired just watching you try to grasp all the sounds just by hearing alone! A few of us Stay (fandom name) have been busy with their recent comeback, and it was so nice to see someone else become intrigued by these incredible men! I hope Stays have told you all about the evil geniuses that are 3Racha, right??
If you want to listen to their slower tracks, I suggest listening to these songs (my favs): Neverending Story (OST), Waiting For Us, Gone Away, Youtiful, Secret Secret
These are their title tracks their title tracks and they almost always go for a very stray kid's feel. Pretty much for all kpop groups their title tracks will be the most streamed because that is just kpop culture 😂. Stray kid's b-sides still have Stray Kid's style to them but they have much more variety in genre, you can find quite a few soft songs in if you dive in their b-sides.
I can say that the music that appeals to me has quite a wide variety tones and genres, most of which has developed over 5 decades of just living. As someone who has been on the planet for longer than the majority of Stray Kids and all of Stay, I just want something original and a cut above everything else. For me, Stray Kids fits that bill. Their sound, lyrics and performance have a lack of convention and formula that absolutely appeals to my ears. The Stray Kids discography is DEEP with over 160 songs on the list and truly there are tracks for every vibe. Their producing unit are geniuses and each member knows exactly what they bring to the table. They truly are incredible. While the top 5 tracks you listened to are hard hitting, they have plenty of melodic tunes and some more rock-anthem tracks. Their discography has enough variety to where you can have Stray Kids Mood Playlists! If you're going for sound/music before m/vs, might I suggest: -Venom -Secret, Secret -Red Lights (Bang Chan, Hyunjin) -Taste (Lee Know, Hyunjin, Felix) -Limbo (by Lee Know) -Chill -I Am You (ot8 ballad ver) -Another Day -Charmer -Hall of Fame The rabbit hole is pretty deep. Enjoy!
Ahah, “spunky” is honestly a great word for Stray Kids. 👏 I am a fan and found them after getting into K-pop after mainly listening to a lot of BTS. What drew me in was the high energy and eclectic feel, but as others have mentioned they do have a lot of versatility and not everything is so in your face. Plenty of soft and upbeat songs, which I admit I gravitate towards a lot despite loving the bangers. Some of my favorite songs that show a softer side: Gone Away, Another Day, Behind the Light, My Universe, 19, 24 to 25, Winter Falls, Scars, and FNF from the new album. Also their SKZ Replay album is a good one to get a feel of them as individual artists as it includes a lot of solo tracks. Also, it has a good many songs with a softer vibe, as well. I enjoyed seeing your reaction and plan to check out your other reviews as well.
stray kids are known for their experimental, 'noisy' music 3racha (made up of the leader chan, changbin and han) produce, write the lyrics and compose almost all of their songs, and when its not them it's one of the other members out of 4th gen kpop they have the most total copyrighted songs with around 390 in total (including songs they produced together) and chan is the 15th most copyrighted kpop idol ever they were originally made as an experiment group as all the members were picked by the leader who also chose the group's name and logo which is incredibly rare for kpop groups they debuted in 2018 originally as 9 members but are now 8: chan, lee know, changbin, hyunjin, han, felix (deep voice), seungmin and i.n they have over 36 different genres in their discography and over 140 released songs and lots of solo songs on youtube too their most popular songs are always the loud ones which are why all the top songs are like that but they have lots of calmer songs too they released their 3rd full album just over a week ago 5 STAR and it has a good mix of songs and is really worth checking out
Their title tracks are always like this in your face sound. But they have produced over 169 songs already, and it covers dozens of genres. I would suggest looking at the B-Sides for something a little simpler.
Really nice video ! Yeah they have a lot of more edgy musics like these. One thing that I loved that you said was that you wanted to go and relisten just to get a bit more of what's going on on the production side of the musics, cause that's something I do a looooooot ! They really put massive effort in the production. But also, yes they have other more calm musics, if anything they have an incredibly diverse discography.
Their musical concept is defientely having fun, honestely is a good group who likes music in general because if someone you can't expect with straykids is the same kind of music or the same kind of sound, there is something for everyone, they have touched so much genres that even ended up creating a completely new genre for real "Mala taste" because producers couldn't attribute one specific genre to lot of their songs. You can expect, slow, fast, elctro, chill, hip hop, it would be a long etc I would say tha the only common factors is that there is a tendency for harder sounds.
One of my favorite things about Stray Kids is three of the members write and produce the majority of their songs. Some of my favorites are Cheese, The Tortoise and the Hare, Christmas EveL, and Domino (there's an English version of this one if you want). Also anything off of their new album 5 Star, but especially S-Class.
love girl groups but want more boys though a less "intense" vibe? may I suggest some TXT in your life! on Stray Kids, I think the first 5 Spotify songs is a bad method to know them - it leans too much into their newer title songs and they all have that heavily experimental style (in different degrees), so you would have to fully vibe with it to leave with a great impression.
You really need to watch the MV's that go with all the songs. There are 8 members. You will be very surprised by Felix (the deep voice). Felix has an amazing voice, he can not only do the very deep voice but super high as well. If you want to hear his whole range listen to Deep End the whole song is only him. Both God's Menu and Thunderous are dis songs aimed at their haters.
oohh, nice nice. Felix that deep a** voice. haha Please also do SB19. They're a well-known boygroup from the Philippines and is slowly making their way international. Some of their songs have similar feel to Stray Kids, you might like them Your voice is meant for broadcasting, btw. Very soothing to the ears
Fun!!! My favorite chill songs from them gotta be Slump, Winter Falls, and their new songs Collision and Youtiful. These are by all members. Also adore Because (by Changbin and Felix), Limbo (by Lee Know), Love Untold (by Hyunjin), Volcano (by Han), and Close (by Han). So many but it’s so hard to pick just 3 😭
What I respect about bangchan the leader is that he wants to show the best of his kids that's why their songs are multitype . Therefore each song is built on their differences in style mood and way of singing
The sad thing about you just listening to the music instead of watching the music video's for these, is you dont get to see WHO that deep voice belongs to.
Stray Kids are very experimental in their music they also write and produce their own music as well with the sub unit called 3racha. the deep voice you mention is Felix our sunshine and freckle faced aussie boy. but do not underestimate him he also can sing very high as well. they have slower songs as well and a lot of them are written for their fans but each member can rap and sing and dance. They just recently had a comeback with a album called 5 stars where they do speak about with a lot of their lyrics about how they are who they are and they do not care if you do not like it but in a very nice way. They want their fans to know that you can be who you want to be. But to recommend some slower songs #lovestay, youitful, lonely st, never-ending story, grow up, blueprint, I Am You, Levanter, Another day and Chronosaurus, Songs that are in your face and experimental Item, super bowl, SuperBoard, tortoise and the hare, Easy, Item, hall of fame, S class. They have a huge discography.
This was such a fun, experimental listen for me. Please let me know what else I should listen to from Stray Kids so I can hear more of their variety! 😊

As for suggestions of slower songs to showcase other aspects of their sound, I recommend:
Red Lights, Voices, Taste, Secret Secret, Venom, DLMLU, Love Stay, and Deep End (this one is actually a solo song by Felix, the guy with the deep voice, but it's included in the group's album, and it's so beautiful. I really recommend it as it showcases his unique vocal range in different tones).
They are definitely fearless with their music. They write and produce all their music. They are so talented.
Stray kids have a song called Neverending Story" that is amazing live. Its a slower song that really showcases their vocals
bro everyone has the EXACT same reaction to felixs voice lmao
My fav slower song of theirs is Secret Secret
omgg u should definitely listen to their new album 5 star, it’s absolutely amazing!! and they have calm/slow songs, like secret secret, the view, love stay, miss you (hyunjin), hug me (i.n) and youtiful 🫶🏼
I'd recommend Gone Away, Blueprint, Levanter, Ex, for a diferent vibe, they are slower, more vocal songs!
I would love for you to react to their music videos because they really capture the way the songs flow and are truly amazing with their visuals!
Absolutely loved the reaction!! Can't wait for more stray kids reactions!!!
Stray Kids just released a single with the Japanese Singer LiSA Social Path/Super Bowl (Japanese Version). Great video as well.
Nice listen! Their recent album 5 Stars is my favorite one! The songs on that album sound so fresh and they slap so hard I just love it 💥🖤
Check out their ballads and sadder songs sometime--songs like Lonely St, Sorry I Love You, Secret Secret, Gone Away. Also different upbeat-ish/other tracks like Star Lost, Side-Effects, Wolfgang, Red Lights, Taste. They have a lot of flavors.
im so happy u reacted to stray kids!!!! they have such a diverse discography ♥️
This IS the common theme for Stray Kids' music. But there are def a lot of slower songs. Like Lost me or Neverending story, or even Phobia if I dare say
Ah yes the Felix effect
Thank you, your reaction is amazing! Stray Kids is self-produced group and that's what makes them unique and special. I recommend you to listen to their new released music S-Class, the whole album 5-Star, and also Felix's (the guy with deep voice) - Deep end
They got slower songs and their lyrics are heart-wrenching but so lovely and relatable
Other people have already recommended slower/softer songs, but ofcourse i will too 😍 They actually have a lot of slower songs, theyre normally b-sides though. But some I recommended are secret secret (my favourite), grow up, youtiful, never-ending story and ex 👍👍
I must be so used to skz's experimental music because it sounded normal when I hear a new song by them ☠️
i hope u can listen to more of their songs🫶🏻 their top 5 are definitely louder more edgier songs but they definitely have beautiful soft songs that are SO good, they’ve done over 40+ genres and make their own music so each song is VERY different! :)
The mv’s really make more sense of the songs (which of course is the case for lots of groups), & SKZ are among the most creative with their mv’s too.
Obviously that’s not at all what you do with this channel, but maybe check one or two out on your free time 😂
5:30 the felix effect in full detail 😂😂
Stray kid's b-sides still have Stray Kid's style to them but they have much more variety in genre, you can find quite a few soft songs in if you dive in their b-sides.
some slower and chill songs of theirs are: youtiful, levanter, 24 to 25, lonely st., #loveSTAY
Stray Kids songs are perfect for neurodivergent people. I think that’s why there’s such polarizing views on their sound.
they have over 40 genres! they have rock songs, a bit more rnb, edm, etc but also ballads and more softer songs. theyre the whole package!
If you're going for sound/music before m/vs, might I suggest:
-Venom
-Secret, Secret
-Red Lights (Bang Chan, Hyunjin)
-Taste (Lee Know, Hyunjin, Felix)
-Limbo (by Lee Know)
-Chill
-I Am You (ot8 ballad ver)
-Another Day
-Charmer
-Hall of Fame
The rabbit hole is pretty deep. Enjoy!
Ahah, “spunky” is honestly a great word for Stray Kids. 👏
I am a fan and found them after getting into K-pop after mainly listening to a lot of BTS.
I enjoyed seeing your reaction and plan to check out your other reviews as well.
wait till you see their music videos
The Felix eyes every single time! xD
Everything they do is magnificent
stray kids are known for their experimental, 'noisy' music
3racha (made up of the leader chan, changbin and han) produce, write the lyrics and compose almost all of their songs, and when its not them it's one of the other members
out of 4th gen kpop they have the most total copyrighted songs with around 390 in total (including songs they produced together) and chan is the 15th most copyrighted kpop idol ever
they were originally made as an experiment group as all the members were picked by the leader who also chose the group's name and logo which is incredibly rare for kpop groups
they debuted in 2018 originally as 9 members but are now 8: chan, lee know, changbin, hyunjin, han, felix (deep voice), seungmin and i.n
they have over 36 different genres in their discography and over 140 released songs and lots of solo songs on youtube too
their most popular songs are always the loud ones which are why all the top songs are like that but they have lots of calmer songs too
they released their 3rd full album just over a week ago 5 STAR and it has a good mix of songs and is really worth checking out
Felix got another one
You could say 'Full of sound' is their title tracks theme however the have a variety of vibes for their b-side tracks
Aside from SKZ music, they lowkey have the best music videos
You should totally react to “Through and Through” by Baby Rose! The most underrated album right now 🎉
love girl groups but want more boys though a less "intense" vibe? may I suggest some TXT in your life!
on Stray Kids, I think the first 5 Spotify songs is a bad method to know them - it leans too much into their newer title songs and they all have that heavily experimental style (in different degrees), so you would have to fully vibe with it to leave with a great impression.
I know two songs from TXT that I really like! I do need to listen to more!!
Some of their songs have similar feel to Stray Kids, you might like them
Your voice is meant for broadcasting, btw. Very soothing to the ears
Youtiful is a slow song...a soothing one...I Love it!!
So much of kpop is visual with the music video, choreography, and performance. Interesting takes from discovering from the audio only side
Mixtape: Oh is amazing. Lovely, different pace to their title tracks
So many but it’s so hard to pick just 3 😭
New subs! ❤ Please react more of Stray kids. I love them so much.
me too, me too (Felix's voice) You have to look him up to get the full effect =)
What I respect about bangchan the leader is that he wants to show the best of his kids that's why their songs are multitype . Therefore each song is built on their differences in style mood and way of singing
More stray kids react pls thx
They just released a new albums called 5 Star and it’s really good in my opinion
You should definitely listen to 5 star!!!!
Stray Kids - Charmer
I hope at some point you watch the MV’s and get the full effect
The sad thing about you just listening to the music instead of watching the music video's for these, is you dont get to see WHO that deep voice belongs to.
Mind you, their slow songs are heart wrenching. You're warned.
stray kids all the life
Please do react their music video
Then you will get to know more about them
Still Thank you for reacting to our boys
their B-sides are insane. try them too
Stray Kids are very experimental in their music they also write and produce their own music as well with the sub unit called 3racha. the deep voice you mention is Felix our sunshine and freckle faced aussie boy. but do not underestimate him he also can sing very high as well. they have slower songs as well and a lot of them are written for their fans but each member can rap and sing and dance.
You can check out their new released album "5 STAR" :)🖤 It's SO GOOD.
the M/Vs make it a thousand times better!!
you should do ATEEZ
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND REACTING TO STRAY KIDS NEW ALBUM 5 CLASS AND YOU WILL KNOW WHAT STRAY KIDS IS! ❤❤❤❤ LUV VID
You should damn listen to DRIVE , RED LIGHTS, TASTE, WOW, CHARMER, DOMINO, SUPER BOWL they're my top fav album songs
i LOVVVEEE stray kids, you need to listen to Victory Song and Domino😂❤
