I have one of these Cadillacs and four Pontiac ambulances. Two of the Pontiacs have lights and two of them don't. I really enjoyed your video. It gives me a little better understanding and to what I have to look forward to. Thank you and I hope you get to do a Pontiac very soon.

After looking my cars over again the Pontiac Ambulances are Dinky Toys not Corgis. If you run across any they are really unique. 👍

Thanks for that. Great to see how it worked originally.
It will be interesting to see how the Corgi Model Club approach their re-creation.
I believe they are removing the rocking flasher mechanism as it was notoriously unreliable. I think Corgi removed this in later versions. But I think it will be great if they could adopt some 21st century developments such as flashing LED's instead of a filament bulb.

Hi Bob, I was eventually able to get to my computer today & VERY HAPPY to find you've posted a new restoration video.
The finished ambulance is pure "perfection"!!!! Your chrome-work & other detailing are THE BEST I've seen.
Your idea of using printers ink was brilliant. I believe using a fine-point paintbrush would have done the job as you intended.
Never-the-less, the red Sharpie pen was a perfect 2nd option. The colored, working lights make this a "very special" Corgi.
Your skills...in EVERY aspect...are truly AMAZING!!!!
    I have a request:
When you're shopping around for new Corgi models to restore, PLEASE try to find an "older" Corgi Land Rover.
They made them in MANY different configurations. But I prefer just a "simple" Land Rover Truck...no decals, no special paint.
...like the type you'd use on a 1950's//1960's farm, etc.
I'm saving my money to buy a ( real ) 50's, 60's or early model 70's Land Rover Defender & restore it myself.
It would be wonderful to watch you restore one of my favorite vehicles. THANKS for your consideration.
Kindest regards & all the best, Ben

Yes it is a shame really that he hasn't got hardly any quality control , I myself ordered a couple of parts recently from him and was sent the wrong bits . I actually emailed him pictures of what he sent compared next to the part I needed and was told it was still the correct part which clearly it wasn't ! So I was told I could return the bits and would be given a credit slip , however if I did that it would not be worth my while time I paid postage which I wouldn't get back for a couple of parts with a total cost of only £1.60 and he knows this so just carries on being sloppy! With the amount of custom I have given him over the years you'd think that he'd just send out another couple of parts gratis ?

We've had the version with the white body and light blue top since the early '80s. Ours was missing the light unit - and it looks to be different from the one yours has - so we ended up gluing the top of a glue cap in the hole to replicate a beacon. Doesn't look too bad...
