She's one of my favorite contestants ever! I rooted for her while watching that night. One of my classmates went to the boardwalk to see the pageant parade and got several contestants' autographs including hers. I'm so glad I got to see this clip again!
i knew Tammy in fla. She sang "new york new york" as an opening act to my pagent. in all my life i have never heard it sang finer and always wished i had a recording of it. Tammy wherever you are i remember you and you are a brilliant singer and a kind lady. I wish you the best of everything~
There's no doubt this is the best ever performance of the song at the pageant. Its unfortunate she wasn't a prelim talent winner. But what exactly do you feel she was robbed of? a finalist spot? the winner? Did your mom ask for a copy of Tammy's prelim interview, in essence a job interview, so to speak w/ the judges, to see how she did w/ the questions, or were the videos not available for sale back then? Kaye Lani clearly sold her desire to speak about hospice around the US to the judges.

Wow... This is definitely a top notch performance... I don't know who won talent but if this didn't win what did?...she is superb

This was really awesome. It was a trillion times better than Tamara Tungate from the year before and way way better than Kate Shindle.
