Hi Dr. Asaad! Thank you for the video. Just went back and saw that I forgot to assign my photo. I went back and did that for an $80 fee. Do you think I will be fine? Thank you so much!
This is great. Thank you. Quick question- I authorized the release of my USMLE transcripts and it turned green "Authorized", but didn't give ask me to pay the $80 fee. Is this done towards the end when you are paying for the programs or do I have to go to ECFMG and pay $80 to release my transcript. And is it $80 for both Step 1 and 2 or $80 per exam?
Thanks for the valuable info. I paid during the previous match transferred my transcript for this cycle do I have to pay for the release of USMLE transcripts?
Thank you for your video Dr Asaad, you have been present throughout my whole process. I have a question, when I search for programs in internal medicine and use the Visa sponsor filter (either J1 or H1B) a very limited list shows up, for example from 60 programs in Florida, after applying the filter there are only 5. But when I search in residency explorer for programs that arent under the filter of H1B and J1, most of them actually have J1 sponsorship. Should I believe the ERAS platform or residency explorer?
MSPE is the deans letter I believe. Your uni should get contacted by ECFMG for the MSPE. My uni did not have it, so I sent them a template and filled it out. I also used the MSPE recommendations and the sample to create the template for them. Just search both on google. It took me a full day to fix this and send it. You should do it asap, as it may take a week for it to upload, and in rare cases it is rejected for inaccuracies
Thank you for the video! Can an LOR writer get the option to create an account to upload (from the email they are sent through the process you showed)? Or does the author need to have an account from before?
Hey Doc quick question i will be getting SLOE for Non-residency-based EM Physicians , there is a template online my attending is willing to complete . However how do they upload the letter as an SLOE , is it just uploaded as a regular letter or is there a separate portal ?
I am an IMG and I have just completed some clerkships in the states and i am applying to 2026 match (as i have to do a one year of internship in my home country to get my liscence) Regarding to collect the LOR from the attendings who are willing to write me, is it a good idea to collect them by buying an eras token next year and save them to the ERAS for the following year or just ask the attendings to draft the letters until i offically apply to the match! Is there a problem of paying an eras number and using it the following year! Thanks in advance
I think that is a possibility but the best way is to keep contact with these physicians and maybe they write it now and upload it at the time of the Match. Because if they don't remember you at the time of the Match or not interested in supporting you at the time of applying, then you should not be using their letters.

Residency explorer is more accurate but even that has mistakes, you can check from program websites as well.
can i apply without uploading the transcript and MSPE?
hello Dr. so if you feel like one LOR is relatively weak and if you do not assign it to a program would it still be seen by PDs?
What is medical school performance evaluation? And what is Dean's letter, and what is the difference from LOR? Are those mandatory?

Some programs require CV. Is this different from ERAS CV?
It should be the same
Thanks@@MalkeAsaad

Does the “LoR author is a department chair” apply for international physicians as well or is it only for US based physicians?
It should apply to international physicians as well.
