      I agree. The first train you took from Hatyai in Thailand, i rode the same or a similar train going to Chiang Mai and some other places from Bangkok.

    Something we rarely hear, good job KTM 😝 good to know their interstate trains are so much better than the ones we have in Klang Valley area - KTM train in the city here is known to be always late :P

    I like this kind of travel video, it is a break from food. how long for each segment of the train and do you have to buy just one ticket or the second at the border? also if you like train travel, I would wait for another 2 yrs for the epic high-speed train from Bangkok to Laos and China.

      We bought the one-way ticket a few weeks in advance for KTM side but in Hatyai, we bought it 1 day prior to departure as we read the crowd isn't too much thankfully. Yea I can't wait for the high=speed rail indeed.

    Do the station have ATM or money exchange service?

    • @WanderEats
      @WanderEats  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kongwat, ince you didn't mention which station, I shall reply both:
      Hat Yai Train Station = 2x ATMs near the ticket counters
      Padang Besar Station = No ATM and No Money Changer sadly

    How long does it take for immigration clearance

    • @WanderEats
      @WanderEats  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Martin... it took about 30 to 40mins for us. That being said, if you are alone and can get out of the train immediately, then it should be faster I reckon.

      @WanderEats  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Eric.. yes directly to the Padang Besar Station (Thai side) where the Thai immigration office is located. Once you exit the Thai immigration, you walk towards the Malaysian immigration which is the Malaysian side of Padang Besar Station.
