It literally sounds like a Crystal Lake and a Fit For a King mash up

Ryan has tweeted that this song is meant to be played live. You can find a few separate videos of it on TH-cam, which features some prerecorded factors in the beginning. A friend of mine saw them play it before the pandemic hit and said the song is nuts live.

It was amazing live. Saw them right before everything closed down. I think the last show they did, March 14th in Cleveland. It was such a good live song.

Yeah I was gonna say the song was supposed to be more of a moshpit song lol

They played this for the first time in March at their show in Springfield and its insane live. Crystal Lake opened for them and they brought out Ryo at the end and the place went nuts.

From what I've heard it seems like this song was meant as sort of a hype-song when they are live to get people going. I do like the experimentation, but I agree with you guys

Have listened to a few more times since then, especially in the car, and can see how this could be a fun song live. I’m interested to see if they will put a similar effect on Kirby’s vocals live

I dig it, an interesting mix of modern BMTH with the traditional FFAK vocals and riffs

I agree Adam, it's too much.
The heavy is great, if the electronics were shorter, it would have a better impact.

I'm with richard on the 5 minute song thing but you do get the occasional exception. Love this one from FFAK . Got a request for you boys and its a nice short one...

I believe it's the riff that's the controversy..because its amazingly similar to Wage War and architects

They played it a few times live and people went off. Alot better live then on track. And they do a wall of death for the breakdown with Ryo screaming with kirby for it

Pretty sure they said this song was more meant for live performances. With a lot of heavy drops and riffs that punch you in the face

I liked how they put the pop song structure into a metalcore/almost deathcore song. Lyrically, it was not that great.

Love your reactions! Sounds like they kinda stole the riff from wage war’s low or they are extremely similar but still a good song

And Wage War stole that riff from Architects 😅

I've heard people say that, but it sounds nothing like Low to me. The thing I found funny was that people ripped on Low when it came out for sounding like Doomsday and A Match Made In Heaven by Architects

    Classic mid/bridge album song.

  • @xavierbonilla1164

So this song isn’t good but not for the experimenting. They are one of the most generic, boring metalcore bands. They do nothing original imo. Sounds like every other metalcore band. I DO appreciate and like that they are trying to experiment. I mean after 6 albums of sounding exactly the same, I would hope they branch out. The problem with the experimenting isn’t that they are experimenting but that I don’t believe in the authenticity of their experimenting. This sounds like code orange, emmure, etc...like it just sounds like they are experimenting with “what’s hot” at the moment in new metalcore sounds. Just my thoughts....
