Opening scene is NF singing to Hope to not give up on him he's making his way to him Then Hope comes in and says he has given NF his chance to deliver, but now it's Hope's turn to find NF. Then NF goes on with rapping and following the map he encounters Fear who misdirects him making him walk in circles. NF realizes that and walks away looking at the map. Fear gets angry and sends NF back into his mansion ( his mind). NF then goes through each room and faces past fears/burdens/failures and closes the door on each of them. Finally it's the epic battle between NF with Hope against Fear who fights to maintain control. Fear has always been NF's main attraction. You can hear Fear scream NO!! just before NF takes the reigns. Can't wait for the album.
Love your reaction. NF is on another level. This music video is only unique, but motivating, inspiring, courageous, versatile and totally Genuis. I hope his album becomes a huge success though he's not into that since he knows how the industry works. But he deserves not only a Grammy but also an OSCAR 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

The part where NF is on the raft that was actually filmed in Lake Michigan. He's from the area and grew up in Michigan. When he hits land and is walking around that looks like Haystack Rock on the coast of Oregon. Funny story about the raft scene. About 4-5 months ago someone posted a picture on Twitter and wrote "I think I saw NF filming a video on Lake Michigan today" it wasn't the best picture in the world so all you could really make out is someone dressed in white standing on something pretty far out in the lake and a helicopter also. This was before he came out in January announcing new music was coming soon. So people were roasting this guy saying he doesn't have anything new coming out and that was obviously a person stranded in the lake and needed to be rescued, he sucks for posting someone having a really horrible day and having to be rescued, they could have died Blah Blah Blah... BUT the one thing they did point out over and over again is, and you'll see this if you take the NF Journey is, the person that looked stranded in the middle of the lake was wearing all white. In almost all of his videos NF wears all black. And here we see Nate in white bringing himself and all of us hope!
Lots of call backs in this video. The balloons, shopping cart, map to hope (from "The Search), wearing white instead of black, signifying hope vs. fear. Forgiving his mom and saying his son will never have to wonder if he'll even show up, a line in "Lost" that says "I'd love to pack arenas and all, But what I really wanna do is learn to handle my thoughts, And put the reins on 'em, show 'em I'm the one that's the boss" and his last line of this song is "I'm taking the reins."
Has someone told you yet that Tommee Profitt, Nate's producer, works on movie scores for a living? Probably helps make the "is this a movie or music video?" vibe make a lot more sense. NF and Tommee are brilliant together. NF and Tommee compliment each other so well creatively
I feel in this video NF let us finally into that safe room. He opened up and let us see every emotion he has struggled with his whole life. Every voice in his head he has argued with his whole life. There was no holding back. He finally let it all out. I think that’s why I cried the first couple of times I watched it. Such a powerful song and video. 🤍
