Especially the Forest mask, 250 AC????? if they dont offer different levels of protection or etc, then why is it priced like that?? mmhmm. I want to finish the forest constellation, but it's a very slow crawl with the ts. I put very little towards constellations and limit friend making so I can afford the ts. Let alone any other events that pop up. The progress is so slow, it's not hitting that success dopamine. I thought I had quite a nice amount of AC at 34 right now, since the last few wing buffs I can get are behind capes that cost a lot of hearts. I get >14 candles at eden each week and the red shard events help when they come, but it's going to take soooo long to save up for that mask. Why so expensive?? It's ridiculous. Say you get the max 15 from eden, that's 60 a month. 4 months and you'll have 240 AC. Adding an unknown amount from red shards and perhaps 3 months? Without spending on anything other than ts? I was hoping to start spending my ac on friend trees or resize potions, but now I want to just hoard and save. Can't really say it's worth the cost with just 1 hit. Prop trick had a long cooldown, but oh how I loved it. I didn't even need it most of the time, it just helped me relax some in graveyard if I messed up.

But its still worth pointing out that gathering that many AC is going to take such an incredibly long time that, ultimately, i really doubt it'd feel worth it in the end. Unless you go to Wasteland very very often, the typical Sky player wont even need it. I mean it has a practical use, that being a shield, but by the time you save up enough to buy it; youll probably be really good at krill dodging, which just.. ykno, kinda makes the mask useless at that point, unless youre rich

I mean they recharge as soon as you hit the shrine cutscene they're associated with. You can recharge them infinitely and you don't even need to still have them on to recharge

Seeing the difference of the price between the three elder mask, spending more for the forest mama could at least have BIG incentive compared to the other two. I've only 100% prairie and now I plan to 100% valley then golden wasteland and then probably forest so it will be like probably this time next year when I can get the stronger one.

Another thing about the Elder Masks that I didn't see you mention (I might have missed it or maybe its mentioned somewhere else). You basically have an increased 'poise' like in Dark Souls. You don't take knockback or get knockdown from the Crabs and the Eden's red rocks when you get hit by them. And yea, the Elder Mask is VERY handy for Red Shard events with those red crabs. Just have a friend do piggyback, have them take out a white candle, equip the Elder Mask, and you are basically immune to the crabs.
I like the concept of these masks, but I don't think they're really worth their price right now. I read something about different levels of protection for the masks, so if they're keeping those prices (or making them lower by the same amount) they'd better be actually worth it
I see a lot of people complaining about the prices but honestly I REALLY needed a well for ascended candles, as well as a real reason to start collecting them in bulk again!
They should have been priced lower so newer players get to have them early on. It doesn't make sense to sell these masks to rich players who more or less already know how to deal with enemies without the use of such items

Im a verterán and I stopped playing for awhile so no I have no ac lol I personally find Eden and the star gathering grindy as hell and it makes me sad :(
I'm going to buy all of them anyways just for collection sake lol, though I really don't think these masks would have any big uses. They protect you from losing wings instantly, but you still lose fire. It's probably most useful against krill attacks, but I'm already pretty good at avoiding them, and in the worst case, I could always use easier tricks. Still I'm expecting that tgc could make these masks more fun.

Honestly saying, I think it would be best for me to purchase the forest elder mask because when we need to recharge it, most players go through the temple cutscene of forest right? I don't think I would have time to recharge the Isle nor Prarie elder masks because I dont really need the cutscene rather its rare for me to. In anyways I respect the fact its prics are very different and pricey, I don't have a single thought about me opposing to it either way.
I actually like that they're price-y and hard to get, in this age of on-demand and instant gratification it's nice to have something to truly work hard towards.

Making the elder masks THIS expensive just means that barely anybody is going to be buying them, other than those very few players who have thousands of AC. I've been through eden so many dozens of times but I've never even come close to having 75 AC total, let alone 200+, because I'm always spending them on ancestor wing buffs, travelling spirits, and the other elder hairs. There's also the fact that a permanent random resize potion, a potion that is very widely sought after and used, costs 10 AC. It takes so many of those potions just to get to a desirable height, I cannot reasonably afford any of the elder masks while I'm buying those potions. The only real good thing about these is that they're free to repair, I was honestly expecting that to cost even more AC. I really really like this concept, and it's cool that we're getting more than just 1 kinda average prize for completing constellations (have y'all seen how glitchy the forest hair is when flying & how it clips through almost all capes? so disappointing after saving up for it wah) but I just cannot justify the price. The masks should all cost the same amount if they all function the same, and the prices should be closer to 50 AC rather than 250. If they don't lower the prices, they should at the very least make them last longer than 1 hit, or maybe make them *recharge ur cape when they protect you*!! What is the point in protecting you from things like krills & rock rain if they just leave you crawling around uncharged in the middle of danger!! It's just... so frustrating that the fastest way to earn AC is to go through Eden again and again and again (which, by the way, the new Eden update is absurdly difficult) and spend forever getting all your wings back, because these shard events don't give you AC every day and you never know when they will!
i went to eden like a day ago to get an elder mask... and was left in anguish when i saw its absurd price. it was isle's since thats the only constellation ive completed. im kinda surprised theres only 3 masks tho

It's possible tbh, when I was playing Sky Light Awaits some of my friends had Alef's Mask [King of Sky] and it was looking similar to Elder masks. Sadly this King mask never made its way back to Children of the light..
So pricey! Even with prop hiding I didn't like running eden (my anxiety kills me, I can never get used to running eden) and now that they've removed that I don't know if I'll ever get the motivation to farm for one of these.
Ok so a mask that can cost over 75 ascended candles will make first make you grind for the mask only to be used once and asking a whole run to temple for recharge?? And Forest one is 250 ascended candles? Why? What kind of bs is this from TGC? They want player to grind more and forget about their life? Never have I ever seen a game with more grinding than this, you basically leave your life for it.
I think the prices are reasonable, considering ppl can get more ascended candles from shattering events now, and there isn't a lot of other stuff to spend ascended candles on. And I think it's good that not everything in the game is easy to quickly get.

i’ve finished isle and i have the hair but i won’t go for the mask tbh. one, it’s too much and i legit only have 9ac, and it just isn’t my favorite look. i like prairie’s the most and it’s the least pricey, but i haven’t finished that realm yet so wish me luck!

There's a weird bug, when I go to the light place, it summons the elder (isle of dawn, the only one I've completed) when I press him I hear the elder tier open up but nothing happened, I can't move or do anything, I could only restart. This was the 2nd time I went there and it's still like that. I went there with my friend, he can see the elder too and when he pressed the elder, he also can't see anything and the same thing happened.
tgc sure loves giving us expensive cosmetics that would take a very, very long time to grind. we can't even buy ascended candles, so why make the forest mask so ridiculously priced..? i don't see the point for such a drastic price.

holy smokes. i didn't know that the elder mask was just introduced last year. and that they're only three available at current! i'm already on my way to getting the forest elder mask. and for the record, there are fundamental differences to their design. which is completely subtle! i never knew!

Yes,i bet a lot of sky player in this season know about that as well. To put roughly, each week you get 15 AC from eden, a month means 4 weeks = 60 AC. Plus the AC that we got from shard event, the cheapest mask ( 75 AC ) require 1 Month. So for the forest one roughly takes 4 months. And 4 months of play still counts as hardwork n commitment ( although it will be easy if you spend 1 day after eden to collect all WL then just play again when eden reset) but since im not veteran, my constelation is not done yet, so that means i gotta do candle run daily to get candles and hearts to unlock fully 1 constelation. In conclusion for new player like me is not really worth to go for forest mask when the mask only provide the same amount of protection. I just need to get the cheap one first then i can slowly save my way up to go for the forest one.

In prairie’s case you can just go to hidden forest and double back to go to thw shrine, it’s pretty easy to do so

I'm going to buy all of them anyways just for collection sake lol, though I really don't think these masks would have any big uses. They protect you from losing wings instantly, but you still lose fire. It's probably most useful against krill attacks, but I'm already pretty good at avoiding them, and in the worst case, I could always use easier tricks. Still I'm expecting that tgc could make these masks more fun.

^ Each mask broke around the same time in this video so I'm not sure what this means. The masks protection level doesn't seem to be that different, each one broke after a WL would fly out.

Honestly saying, I think it would be best for me to purchase the forest elder mask because when we need to recharge it, most players go through the temple cutscene of forest right? I don't think I would have time to recharge the Isle nor Prarie elder masks because I dont really need the cutscene rather its rare for me to. In anyways I respect the fact its prics are very different and pricey, I don't have a single thought about me opposing to it either way.

oh i would class myself as a new player, the coolest thing ive got unlocked is the orange cape so i guess i fit that category. and i dont think id manage to ever be able to buy something like this. getting ascended candles is such a grind omg?? i can't believe its so expensive!
Making the elder masks THIS expensive just means that barely anybody is going to be buying them, other than those very few players who have thousands of AC. I've been through eden so many dozens of times but I've never even come close to having 75 AC total, let alone 200+, because I'm always spending them on ancestor wing buffs, travelling spirits, and the other elder hairs. There's also the fact that a permanent random resize potion, a potion that is very widely sought after and used, costs 10 AC. It takes so many of those potions just to get to a desirable height, I cannot reasonably afford any of the elder masks while I'm buying those potions.
The only real good thing about these is that they're free to repair, I was honestly expecting that to cost even more AC.
I really really like this concept, and it's cool that we're getting more than just 1 kinda average prize for completing constellations (have y'all seen how glitchy the forest hair is when flying & how it clips through almost all capes? so disappointing after saving up for it wah) but I just cannot justify the price.
The masks should all cost the same amount if they all function the same, and the prices should be closer to 50 AC rather than 250. If they don't lower the prices, they should at the very least make them last longer than 1 hit, or maybe make them *recharge ur cape when they protect you*!! What is the point in protecting you from things like krills & rock rain if they just leave you crawling around uncharged in the middle of danger!!
It's just... so frustrating that the fastest way to earn AC is to go through Eden again and again and again (which, by the way, the new Eden update is absurdly difficult) and spend forever getting all your wings back, because these shard events don't give you AC every day and you never know when they will!
Been a while since I've seen a shield protection in sky. Used to be at light awaits too but to protect emotes as you can lose them that time.

i went to eden like a day ago to get an elder mask... and was left in anguish when i saw its absurd price. it was isle's since thats the only constellation ive completed. im kinda surprised theres only 3 masks tho

It's possible tbh, when I was playing Sky Light Awaits some of my friends had Alef's Mask [King of Sky] and it was looking similar to Elder masks. Sadly this King mask never made its way back to Children of the light..
So pricey! Even with prop hiding I didn't like running eden (my anxiety kills me, I can never get used to running eden) and now that they've removed that I don't know if I'll ever get the motivation to farm for one of these.

Ok so a mask that can cost over 75 ascended candles will make first make you grind for the mask only to be used once and asking a whole run to temple for recharge?? And Forest one is 250 ascended candles? Why? What kind of bs is this from TGC? They want player to grind more and forget about their life? Never have I ever seen a game with more grinding than this, you basically leave your life for it.

I think the prices are reasonable, considering ppl can get more ascended candles from shattering events now, and there isn't a lot of other stuff to spend ascended candles on. And I think it's good that not everything in the game is easy to quickly get.
It is a little weird that Isle's is more expensive than Prairie's, though.

There's a weird bug, when I go to the light place, it summons the elder (isle of dawn, the only one I've completed) when I press him I hear the elder tier open up but nothing happened, I can't move or do anything, I could only restart. This was the 2nd time I went there and it's still like that. I went there with my friend, he can see the elder too and when he pressed the elder, he also can't see anything and the same thing happened.

these are so expensive... i am a vet and have been playing since ios release and i dont have nearly enough asc candles. i wouldn't have spent them all on spells if i had known about these haha!

holy smokes. i didn't know that the elder mask was just introduced last year. and that they're only three available at current! i'm already on my way to getting the forest elder mask. and for the record, there are fundamental differences to their design. which is completely subtle! i never knew!

Isle mask looks mythical, I like it the best, but forest mask is the real practical one since we practically always sit at the temple and watch the forest elder cut scene to get the wax and many pass by it after granny's feast. I kinda believe this is probably why it is the most expensive one 🫠

You do know you have a chance to get ac through the shards right? I have over 60+ right now. And most of them were from shards.
Yes,i bet a lot of sky player in this season know about that as well.
To put roughly, each week you get 15 AC from eden, a month means 4 weeks = 60 AC. Plus the AC that we got from shard event, the cheapest mask ( 75 AC ) require 1 Month. So for the forest one roughly takes 4 months. And 4 months of play still counts as hardwork n commitment ( although it will be easy if you spend 1 day after eden to collect all WL then just play again when eden reset) but since im not veteran, my constelation is not done yet, so that means i gotta do candle run daily to get candles and hearts to unlock fully 1 constelation. In conclusion for new player like me is not really worth to go for forest mask when the mask only provide the same amount of protection. I just need to get the cheap one first then i can slowly save my way up to go for the forest one.
