nah, I really think autofister is a comedy duo. I would say they're the opposite of Manzai. Instead of being the straight man and cool things down, CC amplifies and makes them worse (in a good way obv).
Gigi is funny to a point it actually requires talent. Her bits are always very well paced and interpreted, and it's crazy how she can get it going with almost everyone. She got me back into watching entire livestreams after i've been following hololive mostly through clips for some time. Truly my oshi and main character.
Having a person at your side is a good way to drain a scary game of it's fear factor. But even taking that into account the remake is less unsettling then the original. The monsters are too numerous and the town is too, in general, hostile. You get less opportunities to just take in the atmospheric scariness.
