I've occasionally found myself imitating Taka's wide voice in the car during the daily commute. After a while, I started to forget what voice I was doing, and the voice began to change. Eventually, I discovered I could do a very close impression of Boss Nass from Star Wars Episode I, complete with the cheek-flapping thing he does.
Yep, that's basically how voice actors start honing their craft. They do imitations long enough to become comfortable with it and start messing around with what they can do, discovering their range of voices in the process.
@@VegetaLF7 Yup. I can also do Droopy the Dog, Sméagol/Gollum, Stitch, Mr. Krabs, maybe Captain Hook, Snape (kind of), and a few others. The one I've been doing the longest and am the most confident and accurate with is Sméagol/Gollum, as I can cover the vocal differences between the two personalities, along with the way he breathes and his cough. The only Family Guy character I can do a passable impression of is Bruce. I enjoy doing voice impressions, but I could only ever dream of being even close to the level of people like Brian Hull, Azerrz, Taka, or Mim.
