If you're going to slightly overpay for a player or two, this is the guy you overpay. I would have found a way to keep him and put him in a good position to succeed.

I am salty. I take Zadorov over most of the Canucks' D signings this offseason.

Getting hung up on players 'at all cost' is how we get into cap trouble and sign regrettable deals. No way he's worth 6*5 at third pair. This is business, I like Zaddy and I'm glad he got his bag, but the decision was right to let him walk at that price. Emotions lead to bad decisions.

Maybe as a top spot he might flourish giving him a role like this might boost his confidence which could boost his level of play as a Canuck fan I hope he turns out to be a top dman because he’s awesome

What you fail to realize is that the Bruins lines are put into a blender every night. Very few players end the night on the same line/pair they start on.

He'll probably get paired up with Carlo most of the time with spot duty next to McAvoy during more physical games

The fact was Canucks assistant defense coaches played a huge role developing him into bigZ and into the playoff leading to him getting the huge contract from Boston. Wish him nothing but the best.

@ScottStenlundhe’s not there to put up points
He’s there to be a physical guy
Also with how Monty uses players he doesn’t have set pairings he switches it up every game to fit the opponent

Why do you care so much? Are you really that salty that he wouldn’t stay in Vancouver for the same cap hit?
You’re not supposed to be at the top of the league for 5 million lmao

Flames fan here to say, Zaddy will be a monster for the Bruins. That together with Lindy in a Bergeron type role... Boston could be a real problem next season.

this happens a lot with players & their final contracts. They tend have a production bump right before they resign their last contract. I Love Big Z but it was not worth the money for a guy on his last few years in the league.

Juulsen is a Surrey product, give him a chance. It's not his fault his fowards didn't cover for him when he stepped up. He plays a Tocchet style and has more to show.

Similar to Lindholm. BOS expects Lindholm to be 1C. Even though he’s been there one year between Johnny Hockey and Tkachuk. He maxed out at a PPG. It’s going to be a stretch for him to play 1C again but has great linemates like Pastrnak and Marchand. BigZ initially partnered with Myers and did not do so well, they found Myers/ Soucey to be better and dropped BigZ to 3rd pairing. It’s going to be an interesting 82 games for BigZ and Lindholm. If Lindholm doesn’t work out, BOS will be hard for Drisettle.
