Enjoyed that very much. Watching in Switzerland- not remotely near Ireland- but now feel like I know more about traditional Irish food. That bread looked delicious - as did the lobster pie - but then, I’m a pescatarian… unlike Ryan! 😂
Hey Tubs, can us TV licence fee payers here in Dublin have that 130 grand you got paid for doing no work back please? Yer a year there now. Lots of time to pay it back or donate it to charity. For the benefit of our friends in the UK he was found by a parlimentary investigation to be taking convouted, effectively under the counter payments through 'barter accounts', usually used only in advertising, to circumvent the pay cuts his fellow broadcasters took while telling us 'we were in it together' during COVID and its aftermath. He was the best connected man in Ireland policitcally thanks to his many family members in key positions, clearning his path in broadcasting from his teens. Still watiing for him be snapped up from Virgin Radio for millions by the BBC. RTE told us for years that they had to pay his ridiculous fees because rivals were lining up round the block to secure his incredible talents if they didn't meet his agent's demands.
I went to London in the mid seventies and had a blast, managed to qualify as a nurse travelled the world now back in Ireland retired in my garden ….wondering how did it all flyby so fast enjoy Ryan miss you on the media here..if you have any time you should set up your own podcast 😊
"Irelands second best import".......... "the legend that is Ryan Tubridy" Oh ffs, I hope all of that was sarcasm. He was exposed as a financial leech that Ireland was glad to see the back of. Please keep him in perpetuity like so many marbles from ancient Rome.
@@Risingtide930 Do you reckon? Tubridy had a rapid demise because he took massive under the table payments outside of his salary. RTE board (who also are massively to blame), also understated what his actual salary was for years. He spoke about the gender pay gap, cost of living crisis and how he took pay cuts over the years while at the same time he was doing this. He even made a decision that his production company would use a financial reporting standard (FRS 105) so that he could conceal his payments since 2017. All legal I'm sure, but disgustingly two-faced. The only people who miss him or feel sorry for him are those who haven't fully understood his part in the scandal.
@@nodnodwinkwinkV well said. Don't forget the conryism which cleared a path for him in the early days too. He represents much of what is wrong in Irish society.
I think he may be incredible mean,a miser, to use yeats words A pillferer of public funds.Promoted continuiosly by the Irish media.Wonder is it genuine promotion,Why this tubridy and dustin promotion people the public dont want.?

That is harsh, the unspoken momentum behind Tubridy’s rapid demise is the infamous propensity in the Irish character for small minded begrudgery.
