Hey, if y’all were building out an off road yellow VW bug for a smaller driver, could you shorten the drivers leg room to build out the engine? More Ls? Thanks y’all! Oh and can rust resistant coating be applied to shocks or breaks to avoid rusting? Thanks!
I keep seeing people removing tie rods using their hands forcing the tie rods off without supporting the rack with a crows foot. Ford says you can damage the rack. Any reason people aren’t following ford’s instruction? Is it a non-issue?
Is it recommended to get an alignment after this upgrade?

Passion project, about 5 years out
Any steering heartburn in the 4 months since this video?
Absolutely not! The steering has been amazing since the install
The old man in me would’ve taken the tire off closer to the ground lol
ball busting aside, thanks for sharing the install!
Brilliant idea! 😂😂😂😂

Racks supported by 2 large bolts
I just bought new bushings for $100 rather than trying to get the old ones out.
That’s an option too. We found that removing the old bushings wasn’t too hard.
