'Discover Humanity: Guatemala' is a culture and human-focused short film created by the Humanity project. In this film explore the colourful, fascinating country of Guatemala and listen to the messages Guatemaltekos sent to the rest of the world.
Our goal is to create cultural, human-focused films that capture a real look at life in every country of the world.
Our films also offer local people the chance to share a message, and give everyone else the chance to hear them.
Through short films and media we aim to break down the prejudices and discrimination that are born from a lack of information, or misinformation about human life around the world.
We are one species, one planet.

I was born in Guatemala and was adopted at 9 months I now live in England and watching this makes me want to go and find my birth parents. I have never been back since I was adopted. I feel like I’m missing a part of me.

You should definetely go back, whenever you live, whoever you are, it all started there it’s your heritage and i hope that see it and LIVE it would made you as proud and confident as i was after my first month in our land.
Yep, adopted in Italy when i was 2 and i waited 32 years to came back, now i’m 40 but i retyrned almost every year.
“Mi hermana Chapina” trust me, people can’t wait to meet, speak and show our beautiful country and make you feel like you belong but not as tourist, as Guatemalan!!!

The only thing I don't find so great is how do 2 hurricane spawn in almost the same area in 2020 in the span of less the 20 days?! It was so sad for my family in Guatemala. Most of the crops were was wash away.
