Remove your crosshair completely on wolverine. None of his attacks go towards the reticle, so when you attack or use any abilities, you gotta make sure your shoulders are squared to the opponents. And make sure no terrain is blocking characters from going where you want them to go when you ult, as terrain(natural or created) actually is collision and will stop them from going anywhere. And you will always snatch a target if they are within melee range so if you can swing and hit them, you can get the leap grab. Just doing this you'll see a significant improvement in his consistency.
Have the check out wolverines status on the rivals site. It has a hidden stats not in game that wolverines damage scales based on the health of the opponent, so he is made to be a tank shredder. That’s why he was always focusing tanks first and doing so much damage to them
Big props to his support to allow the "shreeding" to happen. Look at his health bar, he has someone with him nearly constantly. Without it, this gameplay is impossible. Wolverine is hard to track as he's leaping and flying around, so whoever's keeping him alive is doing a great job and deserves equal praise. MVPs typically end up being the DPS who kill a lot, but in reality if it wasn't for a good support or two, they'd get wrecked in seconds in these mix ups.
So true he could use some buffs nothing even major like a small bleed affect could make it all come together for him maybe have it stack up like his damage does based on rage
All dive characters are hard to track when they are doing their job. It should be no surprise when you play around the strengths of your team characters can thrive.
I think wolverine is fine, but he just cant carry as hard as others. For instance if this guy’s healer sucked he couldnt push advantage nearly as hard. Meanwhile good characters can do this without a teammate pulling their weight, ex iron fist.
Basically just kill one person and run away until your abilities come back. You can only use him and his skills in a specific order and then you have wait until they recharge.
Wolverine is solid when you use him right. You domt just run in, you wait for an opportunity and kill tanks because he does more damage the higher health the character has and add in a good healer and he is viscious

Wolverine needs a buff for the sake of fun. His ability cooldowns are so long, feels like I’m always waiting 12 seconds to have fun. Then if you miss his feral leap you have to stand behind cover for another 12 seconds. That’s 24 seconds of doing absolutely nothing if you don’t have support pocketing you.

It’s very fun playing wolverine because you’re always on the hunt to take people out of position which makes him very unique. Almost like dps doomfist in ow1. And once you see the opportunity you can team wipe with his ultimate
I forgot who, but some high level streamer talked to a dev and he was told you get in by walking and his quick cooldown and you get out by using his leap to push the tank to your team similar like a Bucky grapple
His play style/game sense is what makes the difference here. Put him on Iron Fist and he'd even more effective. Playing Wolverine is essentially a flex on his part.
They need to give Wolverine passive health on kill. It references his healing factor and would make him more survivable without it being OP. Maybe it could be percent based like his attacks. Bigger enemy kills net him more health back, etc. As is, he feels fragile which doesn’t suit the character at all. Edit: also, Magneto should totally have a slight damage increase to Wolverine as a reference to the famous ‘fatal attractions’ storyline
Wolverine doesn’t regenerate health passively, his passive has a long cool-down and that will cause you to regenerate health + get a burst heal if you survive long enough upon dropping past 0 health. So he has like a lifeline, but when it’s on cool-down he doesn’t regenerate health, he’s being healed by Luna E 90% of the game
high level rank. That's is the answer. People understand at least snth, willing to play as team and in general have more awareness to notice who Wolvie snatches and deal dmg
Props to Yckor but the part of this that bothers me is all the lurking and sneaking he has to do to get the job done. Not because it makes wolverine feel weak, but because it feels out of character. This games a power fantasy simulator and you have to play wolverine like psylocke or panther. He really should be relegated to more of a bruiser tank like Thor with his numbers tweaked around. Would give Vanguard players another fun option too and Wolverine fans could actually play their character outside of the 3 people who are making it work.
This gameplays shows how much support wolverine needs and how you need to play with a team that knows what your doing as wolverine. Issue with him is he really doesn’t do a lot of damage but he can take/lock down someone out of a fight. He does prolly the fastest of the flank dps. Like even in these videos of this wolverine if he was black panther iron fist spiderman psyloch like any of the other damage flankers he would have killed them faster with less needing of his support. Playing it the exact same way. And that is the issue with wolverine. He’s just not as good as the other dps atm. No matter if you’re playing him at this level. He still could do it better and faster as some of the other dps. And his supports are keeping him up a lot!! His healing is only out of combat so he’s not healing at all while he attacks that is the reason he runs and uses Los to get out of combat.
Wolverine's counter is not having enough Tanks. Most his damage, as others keep echoing, and why i think his in-game description needs updating, is coming from a % max hp damage. A team with a single Magneto for tanking would have made his life a touch harder, but Magneto + Venom basically just doubled his targets to remove efficiently and allowed him to mentally strike his enemies. If a Tank is carrying the enemy, like a good Groot or Magneto, removing that piece can make all the difference. All the squishy kills are bonuses after the tanks, I similarly play Wolverine in quickplay but that has the benefit of seeing what the enemy picks kinda early, and well, not as nearly as sneaky as this guy. Wolve is good as a Duelist, maybe can use a bit more self-sustain, but his targets are just a little bit outside of what people may have expected from a melee dueliist.
